Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive professional to join our Financial Services VAT team. This role is central to ensuring smooth execution of VAT compliance cycles and supporting business development initiatives. You will manage key administrative processes, coordinate with internal teams and clients, and play an active role in preparing for upcoming compliance cycles.
While prior VAT or tax knowledge is not required, this position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to VAT processes and develop new skills over time.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Cycle Management
- Plan and oversee activities for upcoming VAT/CESOP compliance cycles.
- Maintain and update the Master Client List.
- Assess client readiness for VAT compliance work and initiate required tasks.
- Issue data requests to clients, monitor submissions for accuracy, and forward to GDS.
- Monitor the FS VAT Compliance mailbox and allocate tasks as needed.
Client & Internal Coordination
- Liaise with EMS and CDD teams for PACE/PACE renewal and AML completion.
- Update GEAR and manage client documentation.
- Draft and issue client quotes and engagement letters, coordinating with EY offices as required.
- Handle routine client queries and requests promptly.
Post-Submission Activities
- Compare ROS receipts against client approvals for accuracy.
- Issue ROS receipts and manage billing processes.
Business Development Support
- Assist with fee quotes, proposals, and RFP responses.
- Support development of VAT marketing materials and campaigns.
- Coordinate VAT seminars, publications, and social media initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Potential to act as line manager for a small team (onshore/offshore).
