The Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) department at EY is a multifaceted team that focuses on providing expert guidance and support to CFOs in navigating complex accounting and regulatory change, managing and analysing finance data and implementing finance transformation initiatives. Our goal is to optimise the finance functions’ effectiveness, agility and value contribution within the client’s organisation which can include integration of new technologies, optimisation of processes and the adoption of innovative best practices.
EY’s FSO FAAS function are experiencing an exciting period of growth due to the financial services sector undergoing rapid transformative changes. In response to market demand, we are looking for an experienced senior manager in working with Financial Services Industry in Ireland or UK, with a deep expertise in regulatory reporting.
Your key responsibilities:
We are looking for a person with Finance and regulatory reporting experience, team leadership experience, client relationship management excellence, communication, and business acumen as well as a passion for innovation, building high performing teams and a culture of trust, respect, and diversity.
Client responsibilities:
- Manage engagements with our clients and provide high quality consulting services to a portfolio of clients.
- Understand EY’s service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients across our range of services
- Develop and maintain long term client relationships and networks including the development of relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs
- Identify business development opportunities and lead client proposal development efforts.
- Drive innovation in processes and systems, leveraging technology to enhance client performance.
Practice and people development responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate diverse teams with varying skillsets.
- Adapt your leadership style to fit team, client, and their cultural needs.
- Contribute to expanding our brand in the market by attending relevant events, collaborating with other internal teams, producing thought leadership, etc.
- Participate in business development activities including client presentations and proposals
- Foster a supportive, inclusive and growth team-oriented work culture.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Significant client relationship management skills, gained through prior consulting roles or within large financial services / technology organisations
- Proven track record in management and leadership roles in Regulatory reporting and/ or Finance within a Bank or related engagements in consulting industry
- Expertise in Finance Regulatory reporting
- Understanding of finance processes, finance technologies and operating models and ability to bridge the language of both business and IT delivery.
- Minimum of 10+ years in delivering regulatory reporting
- An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) applied in a financial institution would be beneficial
- Understanding of technology trends and implications on the Financial Services industry.
- Experience of delivering change through multi-disciplinary stakeholders and collaborating across jurisdictions.
- Strong communications skills, with experience of leading strategy material and presenting to C-suite stakeholders.
- Excellent Stakeholder management skills with a track record in managing complex stakeholder programmes
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and develop others, effectively communicate, manage budgets, timelines, and plans, manage client expectations, deliver quality projects.
