We are looking for an outstanding individual to cover the role of Operations Manager within our team’s Leadership function. They support the Function Lead with all matters relating to operations including service delivery, reporting, stakeholder, and team meetings. This role acts as the operational backbone of the creative team—enabling creative resources to focus on what they do best.

 

They play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning of the creative department. They are responsible for streamlining processes, assigning resources, overseeing project timelines, and supporting the delivery of high-quality creative work that aligns with business objectives. They lead the Operations/Production Co-ordination team to include but not limited to people and performance management, recruitment and onboarding, process improvement and stakeholder management.

 

They have a sharp business mind and proven success in managing multiple departments for maximum productivity. They are highly skilled, dependable, and able to develop and maintain an environment of trust across the team and senior leadership. The role requires someone who is detail-orientated, organised, and proven proficiency in project management and planning.



Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee the intake, prioritisation, scheduling, and delivery of creative projects. Ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Manage and oversee, with the production co-ordinators assistance, resourcing across the team—matching the right people to the right projects, optimising workloads, and identifying capacity gaps
  • Oversee project management of key events and campaigns and in some instance lead complex campaigns ensuring quality, deliverables, and stakeholder experience
  • Develop, implement, and refine operational workflows, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and output quality
  • Act as a bridge between the creative team and other departments (e.g., marketing, product, comms), facilitating communication and alignment
  • Review, analyze and prepare management information reporting as required. Spot trends, predict demand and opportunities
  • Track and report on team KPIs, project timelines, resource utilisation, and productivity. Provide data-driven insights to leadership
  • Identify quality control issues and propose solutions
  • Point of escalation for stakeholder direction and primary point of escalation between the team and Function Lead when dealing with operations matters
  • Support budget planning, track spend, and liaise with external freelancers or vendors as needed
  • Drive and lead operational projects within the Creative team
  • Recruitment and onboarding of new team members, shortlisted candidates and conducts first round interviews, where appropriate

  • Provide considered and well thought out input to Function Lead for the annual creative budget process
  • Be a career counsellor and provide individual coaching and performance feedback
  • Foster an energetic, creative culture within the team and be an ambassador for Creative
  • Adherence to the Creative Team’s management and operational practices and processes

 

 

Technical Skills and Abilities

 

  • 4–6+ years in creative operations, project management, or operations management, preferably within an in-house or agency creative environment
  • A natural leader across the team with an ability to delegate and resolve issues as they arise
  • Excellent communications and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of creative workflows across design, motion, video, photography and studio production
  • Proficient with project management tools and reporting dashboards
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Workfront is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment and guide the Operations team similarly
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing plans and to think strategically 
  • A collaborative and growth mindset with the confidence to influence and drive change
  • Experience working with brand and marketing teams
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of digital asset management systems (DAMs)
