The Opportunity

 

We are seeking Accounting Technicians / Entry-Level Audit Associate to join our growing Audit team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to develop a strong foundation in audit and assurance within a structured, supportive, and high-quality learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in the delivery of audit engagements in accordance with EY audit methodology and professional standards
  • Perform audit procedures on key financial statement areas
  • Prepare audit working papers and documentation in line with audit quality requirements
  • Assist with walkthroughs and testing of internal controls
  • Support audit seniors and managers with engagement fieldwork and administration
  • Interact professionally with client finance teams to obtain audit evidence
  • Use audit tools and Microsoft Excel to perform and document audit procedures
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks and complete them accurately and on time

To qualify for the role you must be 

  • Accounting Technician qualification (qualified or finalist) or equivalent accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organised approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and take feedback constructively
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Ideally, you’ll also have 

  • Previous experience in audit, accounting, or a finance function
  • Exposure to financial statements prepared under FRS 102 or IFRS
