The Team and the opportunity
The Financial Services practice in Ireland is over 870 people strong delivering assurance, consulting, tax and transaction services to clients in the financial services industry.
The ASA Supervisor is exclusively focused on supporting the Consulting Service Line in managing Client Account Financials and will be the key link person between the Business and Ops Finance. Our Ops Finance team is dynamic and operate in a high performing and agile environment. We assist the business in undertaking all aspects of the engagement lifecycle from client onboarding, planning, engagement management to billing and collections. As a part of our team, you’ll assist with budgeting, reporting, data analysis, business operations and finance strategy. As a Specialist, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Your key responsibilities
- Day to day management and maintenance of key accounts to ensure financial delivery data is consistently up to date.
- Managing the client accounts to drive working capital, budgeting and resourcing for each of their sectors as well as supporting them in the client facing aspects of their role.
- Look to improve quality of data through team coordination/efficiency. Gain knowledge of the firm’s tools e.g. Mercury, PACE, Retain etc. Enhance knowledge sharing with our offshore counterparts. Explore, identify, and apply best practices for optimal team workflows and day-to-day operations.
- Provide in-depth analysis on engagement economics and other financial analytics (e.g., budget vs. actuals, billings, leverage, and fees)
- Build a good working relationship with key stakeholders to ensure effective flow of information and communication.
Skills and attributes for success
- Previous experience in finance, operations or project management
- People teaming skills will be key to success. Strong team player with high level of energy and a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of teams and clients.
- Excellent attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, organisation skill, and commitment to confidentiality is a must have
- Self-starter who can multitask with minimal oversight
- Identify and make suggestions for efficiencies, improvements and create new process flows. Take action to stay up to date with the evolution and impact of technology developments. Use tools, techniques and firm standard methodologies to support research, analysis and problem solving. Strong IT skills and Microsoft Office in particular.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle conflicting demands, prioritise effectively whilst delivering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- You will be service-driven, confident in dealing with all levels of stakeholders, proactive and diplomatic with a positive and enthusiastic can-do attitude. You will be passionate and a logical-thinker
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Adapt communication style to meet the needs of the situation and audience.
