EY MENA Pre-joining Consultant

 

You will work as part of the EY MENA Pre-joining Team, providing a high level of support across the MENA region to our new joiners. Your role will be to provide an exceptional pre-joining experience from when a candidate has accepted their offer up until their first day of joining, supporting all new hires from entry level through to partner level.

 

Your key responsibilities:

 

As a Pre-joining Consultant (PJC), you will be the main point of contact for our new joiners to ensure their pre-joining experience is smooth and efficient. The new joiners will require support to fulfil our Immigration compliance requirements, support with Relocation and understanding of Pre-joining policies and processes.

 

The role requires a high level of stakeholder management with key internal stakeholders such as the Recruitment Team and Hiring Managers as well as different functional teams such as IT, Administration, HR Enablement. You will also be responsible for resolving problems relating to the pre-joining process which will vary by hiring type, office location and new joiners’ personal situation.

 

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Provide an exceptional new joiner experience ensuring that when they join EY that their experience lives up to our Employee Value Proposition
  • Managing the immigration process for all new joiners across MENA within the agreed team SLA’s
  • Guide team members to resolve challenging situations concerning benefits and legal areas
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all elements of the new joiner process
  • Escalate complex or sensitive cases to leadership as appropriate
  • Be responsible for data and reporting accuracy
  • Support and guide internal stakeholders and colleagues in process and structure changes
  • Identifying issues, opportunities, challenges with a solution orientated mindset
  • Always aiming to provide an exceptional new joiner experience
  • Enabling continuous improvement within our process and polices
  • Understand MENA pre-joining regulations and ensure full compliance with risk and legal requirements for the counrty
  • Provide location knowledge to aid transition and resolve problems relating to the pre-joining process

 

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Excellent English and Arabic language written and verbal communications skills
  • Building positive relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Ability to learn processes, methodologies, tools, and technologies used, and utilize them in an efficient manner
  • Strong MS office skills and a willingness to acquire new skills to effectively leverage internal reporting systems
  • Strong eye for detail
  • A consultative professional who build relationships based on doing the right thing

 

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • 5+ years’ experience of working as part an HR Team including recruitment, immigration, pre-joining, onboarding, or related experience
  • Experience of managing complex HR situations and working in a challenging fast-paced environment
  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications and Outlook (Mandatory)
  • Strong candidate centricity and consultative skills
  • Experience in being able to call senior stakeholders and consult verbally with them
  • Experience in professional email writing as a mode of communication on a day-to-day basis
  • Experience in stakeholder management and building strong relationships with support teams
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and a high volume of candidate queries
  • Exhibit a positive can-do attitude and approach to responsibilities; demonstrate commitment to the role
  • Exhibit teaming attitude within and with external teams
  • Experience working with multi-cultural teams
