Our Risk Consulting practice helps energy companies strengthen governance, manage risk, improve operational resilience, and build robust control environments that support strategic growth. To support our continued expansion across the MENA region, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Manager or Director to join our growing Energy Risk Consulting team.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Manager or Director within EY MENA's Risk Consulting practice, you will play a leadership role in shaping and growing our Energy sector portfolio across the region. You will work closely with some of the largest national and international energy organizations, helping them identify, assess, and manage strategic, operational, technology, and regulatory risks.

You will lead high-profile engagements, drive business development initiatives, build long-term client relationships, and develop high-performing teams across multiple EY offices throughout the MENA region.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence large-scale transformation programs, support critical business decisions, and contribute to the continued growth of EY's market-leading Risk Consulting practice.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership and Delivery

• Lead complex risk consulting engagements for clients across the Energy sector, including oil & gas, utilities, renewable energy, and power generation.
• Advise executive management on enterprise risk management, governance, internal controls, operational resilience, and business transformation initiatives.
• Deliver high-quality solutions that address evolving business, operational, regulatory, and technology-related risks.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders and executive leadership teams.

Business Development and Market Growth

• Drive revenue growth through account expansion, proposal development, and identification of new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the Energy ecosystem, including regulators, government entities, and industry leaders.
• Collaborate with Partners and service line leaders to develop sector-focused go-to-market strategies.
• Lead and contribute to client presentations, thought leadership initiatives, and market positioning activities.

Team Leadership and Development

• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing consulting teams across the MENA region.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Coach and support team members in achieving their career and professional development goals.
• Promote EY's values while driving exceptional client service standards.

Risk and Transformation Advisory

• Support clients in managing risks associated with:
• Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
• Internal Controls and Governance
• Operational Risk Management
• Business Continuity and Crisis Management
• Technology and Digital Risk
• Cybersecurity Governance
• Regulatory Compliance
• Third-Party Risk Management
• Digital Transformation Programs
• Emerging Technologies and Automation
• ESG and Sustainability Risk Frameworks

• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and governance practices within the Energy sector.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Master's degree and/or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 12-15 years of relevant professional experience, including substantial experience within consulting, risk advisory, or the Energy sector.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering large and complex advisory engagements across the GCC and wider MENA region.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing senior client relationships.
• Strong understanding of risk, governance, regulatory compliance, and transformation programs within energy organizations.
• Experience in one or more areas including:
• Enterprise Risk Management
• Internal Audit
• Governance and Compliance
• Operational Risk
• Business Continuity Management
• Digital and Technology Risk
• ESG and Sustainability Risk
• Supply Chain and Third-Party Risk
• Transformation Program Assurance
