As a Senior Technology Operations Analyst (AMS SuccessFactors Benefits), you will play a strategic leadership role in delivering high‑performing, resilient technology solutions across EY's internal and client‑facing environments. You will lead complex development initiatives, drive technical strategies, mentor analysts, guide operational excellence, and partner with senior stakeholders to shape technology outcomes that align with business objectives.

Your key responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain SuccessFactors Benefits module elements including eligibility rules, program design, enrollment workflows, and life‑event processing.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance across Benefits data by conducting audits, validations, and ongoing monitoring of enrollments, deductions, and dependent records.
  • Manage L2/L3 AMS ticket resolution related to Benefits issues (eligibility, enrollment errors, integrations, data mismatches).
  • Support annual enrollment cycles, open enrollment configuration, updates, testing, communications, and post‑go‑live stabilization.
  • Collaborate with HR, Total Rewards, and Payroll teams to ensure Benefits configurations support organizational policies and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain and update Benefit plan configurations, rate tables, life event reasons, and vendor/carrier‑specific logic.
  • Oversee Benefits‑related data integrations (e.g., payroll, carriers, third‑party administrators) and troubleshoot CPI or SFTP data exchange issues.
  • Conduct UAT and regression testing for quarterly releases, benefit cycle updates, and configuration changes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including configuration workbooks, job aids, change logs, and SOPs for Benefits administration.
  • Provide end‑user support and training, ensuring HR teams, benefit admins, or shared‑services partners understand Benefits processes and updates.
  • Ensure security and compliance by maintaining permissions, protecting employee benefit data, and following internal controls.
  • Identify system enhancement opportunities, process simplification options, automation opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Deliver high‑impact presentations to senior leadership
  • Develop communication strategies for complex initiatives
  • Contribute to long‑term technical strategy
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and operational excellence
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid‑level analysts

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep understanding of SuccessFactors Benefits, EC foundation objects, eligibility rules, and life‑event workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, especially with Benefits data and downstream impacts.
  • Ability to operate in high‑volume AMS environments, prioritizing tickets and enhancements effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with HR, Payroll, Total Rewards, and vendor/carrier stakeholders.
  • Comfort with cross‑module dependencies (EC, Payroll, Time, Compensation) and Benefits‑related integrations.
  • Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in Benefits configuration and employee impact.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of hands‑on experience with SuccessFactors Benefits or related EC/HR modules.
  • Proven production support experience in an AMS environment handling incidents, enhancements, and release cycles.
  • Experience configuring benefits plans, eligibility rules, events, rates, and vendor interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of integration patterns (e.g., carrier feeds, SFTP, API/CPI flows).
  • Ability to interpret HR/Benefits policies and translate them into system logic.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience with EC + Benefits implementations, open enrollment cycles, and carrier data exchanges.
  • Familiarity with SAP Payroll, EC Time, or Compensation for cross‑functional impacts.
  • Exposure to SAP CPI for Benefits-related interface support.
  • SuccessFactors certification in Employee Central or Benefits.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Benefits (e.g., eligibility, taxation, dependent rules), depending on region.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.

  • Toronto/London/Ottawa/Waterloo/Vancouver/Victoria: $48,000 to $72,000
