As an Operations Analyst II, you will be a professional member of our new Managed Services practice.

Your key responsibilities

  • Contribute to client satisfaction by providing the team with exceptional quality and timely work products.
  • Determine appropriate and optimal Canadian and US filing position
  • Prepare complex personal income tax returns
  • Review personal income tax returns
  • Research on Tax technical matters to support both compliance and advisory deliverables
  • Contribute to the national education program by preparing and/or delivering tax technical material
  • Leverage technology to maximize productivity

Additional responsibilities and skills for success:

Analytics: Combine data from multiple sources to generate meaningful insights, develop and refine dashboards, and support decision‑making through robust analytical practices.
Communication:
Prepare clear, audience‑appropriate reports and presentations, and facilitate discussions that drive alignment and shared understanding.
Problem Solving:
Identify operational challenges, perform root‑cause analysis, and lead the implementation of strategic, sustainable solutions.
Project Management:
Oversee small to mid‑sized projects by coordinating stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring deliverables align with business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong relationships, act as a key liaison for inquiries, and represent stakeholder needs in planning and operational discussions.
Technology Proficiency:
Leverage advanced analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), adopt automation to streamline workflows, and stay informed on emerging technologies that enhance operational performance.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A high School Diploma (required); College Diploma is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism in French and English is a requirement
  • 3-5 years of tax compliance experience and intermediate knowledge of tax returns process
  • Knowledge of current automated tax processing systems and tax laws
  • Effective communication skills and be a confident team player who can not only collaborate with people from various teams but also prioritize shifting demands
  • Willingness to contribute to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture that fosters personal development and a positive attitude
  • Commitment to learning in a tax technology environment
  • Ability to work in a high pressured and time sensitive environment
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time spent against budget and work alongside team members to ensure the timely completion of deliverables while providing exceptional client service
  • Exceptional PC proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
