EY Parthenon offers strategic advice to both private and public clients. Within the Valuation, Modeling and Economics department, the EU Infrastructure Team provides advisory services in the fields of transport, energy and sustainable infrastructure to the EU Institutions, which are priority clients for our firm globally.

As a result of our consistent growth in this specific consulting space, we plan to expand our EU Infrastructure Team and are currently looking for a Senior Consultant with background in the fields of either EU transport policies or EU climate and sustainable energy policies.

You will contribute to the preparation of tenders for the EU Commission and deliver complex consultancy projects, perform economic analysis for highly policy relevant topics, provide strategic insights, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that address EU objectives. 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

You will work in a team of professionals dedicated to providing qualified expert support to the EU Institutions in the sectors of transport (rail, air, road, maritime) or climate and sustainable energy policies.

  • You will contribute to the management of key engagements involving multidisciplinary teams, working directly with clients and stakeholders (including working-level meetings, workshops, stakeholder consultation meetings);
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality research, quantitative analyses in the field of economic regulation, market analysis, cost-benefit analyses, impact assessment and other consulting assignments for the EU Institutions;
  • You will support in the contractual management of projects awarded to EY, in compliance with internal procedures/policies;
  • You will contribute to business development activities and to the preparation of EU tenders.  
  • You will plan and review delivery of junior colleagues (including workbooks, models and reports);
  • You will identify new opportunities and will prepare level A methodology proposals for our clients.
  • You will manage key engagements, multidisciplinary teams and client relationships to perform feasibility studies, evaluations, policy options analysis, scenarios’ definition, modelling and assessment, optimization of financing solutions. 

 

Your Profile

  • Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Management, Transport, Climate and Sustainable Energy Policies, or related discipline;
  • Knowledge of microeconomics (industrial organisation, economic regulation) and (regulatory) accounting.
  • Knowledge of quantitative research and analysis methodologies;
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the following areas:
    • Economic regulation of network industries and/or competition economics;
    • EU law with focus on regulation of network industries and/or competition law;
    • Solid understanding of EU policy in the fields of transport or sustainable energy/alternative fuels (including hydrogen)/carbon removals/industrial decarbonisation/climate mitigation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent knowledge of English with good drafting and editorial skills
