And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

The opportunity

Join the Financial Services practice at EY Belgium and you’ll work in teams, experiencing growth and change as part of our EMEIA region. You’ll be working with the best people on the most complex financial service issues, helping to shape the future of banks, insurance companies, payments and wealth & asset managers.

As the leading independent provider of risk consulting services for financial services in Belgium, EY supports organisations in managing their risks, exploiting opportunities and operating effectively. Technology Risk forms part of our broader Business Consulting practice within EMEIA. Our clients seek independent advice and assurance on diverse issues including design and operation of their internal controls, security of their business critical systems, delivery of major IT enabled programmes, their relationships with third parties, and their management, stewardship and ability to exploit business critical data. We are looking to recruit a manager who can further support and drive our go to market activities within IT risk, and work directly with clients to help them understand and address risks associated with the technologies that support their business.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will provide guidance and share knowledge with team members and participate in solving our client’s most complex questions related to IT risk management and transformation, both from a strategic and operational point of view.
  • You will brief the engagement team on the client's IT environment and industry IT trends.
  • You will review the setup of complex systems and technology governance frameworks in line with industry leading practices (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, NIST, ISO,…).
  • You will contribute in providing our clients with EY supported insights and pragmatic recommendations to further improve business performance, operational efficiency and risk management.
  • You will take responsibility for the successful end-to-end delivery of multiple engagements, motivating teams, coaching people and be part of our executive team.
  • You will develop strong client relationships and potentially identify new business opportunities.
  • You will assist in further development of our technology risk competencies around IT Risk Transformation and/or Operational Resilience.

Who are we looking for ?

We’re looking for passionate leaders with strong vision and a desire to stay on top of trends in the risk industry. If you have a genuine passion for helping businesses achieve their full potential, this role is for you. In addition:

  • You have a bachelor's or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, economics or computer engineering
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, project management/service delivery, operational/IT risk management or consulting
  • You have expertise in at least one of the following areas:
      • IT Risk Management/Transformation
      • Operational Resilience
      • Third Party Risk Management
      • GRC Tooling
      • Data risk
  • You have excellent communication and solid writing skills in English, and are fluent in either Dutch or French.
  • You have good people, analytical, and reporting skills with a positive, problem-solving mindset.
  • You are able to work autonomously with a focus on getting things done.
  • You are willing to connect with our Belgian clients on-site or remote and potentially having the opportunity to be involved in international assignments.
  • Professional certifications, such as CGEIT, CISA, CISM, CISSP, COBIT, CRISC and ITIL are a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of emerging technology, FinTech, Cloud services and Cybersecurity are a plus.

What’s in it for you?

  • Support and coaching from some of the most engaging colleagues around
  • Opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career
  • The freedom and flexibility to handle your role in a way that’s right for you

We are proud of our flexible working arrangements, and we will support you to build a successful career and deliver excellent client service, without sacrificing your personal priorities. While our client-facing profession might require regular travel, and at times working at client sites, we are committed to help you achieve a lifestyle balance.
