EY's Strategy and Transactions (SaT) department offers strategic advice to both private and public clients. Within the Valuation, Modeling and Economics department, the EU Infrastructure Team provides advisory services in the fields of transport, energy and sustainable infrastructure to the EU Institutions, which are priority clients for our firm globally.

 

As a result of our consistent growth in this specific consulting space, we plan to expand our EU Infrastructure Team and are currently looking for a Manager with background in the field of EU climate strategies, sustainable energy policies and regulation.

 

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in climate economics, energy systems and economic analysis. You will contribute to the preparation of tenders for the EU Commission and deliver complex consultancy projects, perform economic analysis for highly policy relevant topics, provide strategic insights, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that address climate change and promote sustainable energy practices.

 

Your Key Responsibilities
•    You will work in a team of professionals dedicated to providing services to the EU Institutions, mainly the European Commission.
•    You will contribute to business development activities and to the preparation of EU tenders. 
•    You will manage key engagements, multidisciplinary teams and client relationships to perform feasibility studies, evaluations, policy options analysis, scenarios’ definition, modelling and assessment, optimization of financing solutions. 

 

Your Profile 
You have: 
•    A Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Energy or a related discipline.
•    At least 5 years of professional work experience in public policy research and consultancy, including proposal development, project management, research, analysis and advisory related to EU climate and energy policies and strategies.
•    Proven experience in writing EU tenders to secure funding for research and consultancy projects, demonstrating the relevance and impact of proposed work.
•    Solid understanding of EU policy in the field of sustainable energy/alternative fuels (including hydrogen)/carbon removals/industrial decarbonisation/climate mitigation and relevant directives, strategies and policy instruments is expected and should be demonstrated via previous employment experience and/or consultancy assignments
•    Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
•    Excellent organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines.
•    Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written). Further language skills would be an asset
