The Opportunity: Lead and Shape EU Reforms

Join our Reform team, which focuses on leading and delivering high-profile European projects. These projects cover digitalisation, sustainability, EU citizenship rights, energy transitions, and capacity building. As a manager, you will leverage your expertise to shape reforms and contribute to sustainable policy-making across Member States and neighbouring countries.

Your role will be central to driving EU-funded projects, enhancing operational efficiency, and promoting energy transition and sustainable mobility across sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager EU Policy Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of complex EU projects in the areas of energy, mobility, sustainability, and transition.
  • Managing teams and workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs and compliance with EU contract requirements.
  • Conducting advanced policy research and economic analyses, ensuring alignment with EU strategic objectives.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including EU institutions, national governments, and external experts.
  • Providing strategic advice and operational guidance to ensure clients' objectives are met, particularly in energy transition and sustainable transport policies.
  • Developing and reviewing technical deliverables, including needs assessments, feasibility studies, policy briefs, and technical assistance reports.
  • Ensuring effective project management, including risk mitigation, budget oversight, and quality assurance.
  • Leading stakeholder engagement activities, such as focus groups, workshops, and public consultations, to foster inclusive policy development.

We are seeking an experienced consultant with a proven track record in managing EU-funded projects and expertise in energy, mobility, and sustainability topics.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in EU studies, political science, economics, or a related field; an additional focus on energy, mobility, digitalization or sustainability is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including managing large-scale EU contracts, particularly in the fields of energy, mobility, and sustainability.
  • A strong understanding of EU policy frameworks and funding instruments, particularly those related to energy transition, sustainable mobility, and climate resilience.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a multidisciplinary team.
  • Exceptional analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-impact results.
  • Proficiency in managing relationships with EU institutions, national governments, and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional European languages is an asset (especially Greek, Lithuanian, Latvian, Finnish, Czech, Slovak, Portuguese).
  • Experience with energy transition, digital transformation projects, EU grant management, and sustainability reporting is advantageous.
