EY Parthenon provides services within the domain of mergers and acquisitions, private and public offerings, valuations, business modeling, due diligence and financial consulting. Through our independent position with respect to lenders, investors, and investment bankers, our team of professionals is ideally placed to successfully support corporate transactions.
EY-Parthenon is growing and is looking for a Director in our Financial Due Dilligence team.
The Transaction Diligence team aims to assist clients, both private equity firms and corporate clients, throughout the whole transaction process. Whilst traditional financial due diligence is a key element of the service, transaction support is much broader, incorporating assistance with business plan assessment, including support to the transaction management, negotiation and documentation, and post-completion integration.
Key responsibilities
As a director, your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Performing financial due diligence procedures relating to the sale and purchase of companies and businesses. Identifying issues that may be of relevance and for assessing the impact thereof on the transaction.
- You identify and understand the key business drivers and provide value to the client through our services and the deliverables we produce.
- Regular liaison with the target as well as the client at all levels.
- Working closely with members of the team, sharing responsibility for the project, providing support, and communicating all issues, conclusions, and the progress made.
- Gathering, verifying and analyzing information, and formulating views and conclusions, and driving this process.
- Participating in the preparation of deliverables including reports, presentations and discussions with the client.
- Providing coaching to others, share your technical and other knowledge with your team and the department and draw upon previous experience.
Skills and attributes for success
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
- Logical and methodical approach
To qualify for the role you must have
- Master degree and more than 5 years of working experience in Transactions
- Excellent trilingual Dutch/French/English
- Good accounting knowledge
- Team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- You have the necessary competencies to perform your job independently while using professional assertiveness
- Project management skills and excel spread-sheeting skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Excellent communication skills and within a virtual working environment
- Enrollment in the CFA program
