Manager – Digital Commerce (Strategy & Delivery, Agentic Commerce)

Location

The Opportunity

At EY, we are building a better working world by helping organizations reimagine commerce in an increasingly autonomous, AI‑enabled future. As a Manager in Digital Commerce, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering next‑generation commerce experiences—spanning strategy, product, and execution—while helping clients prepare for and adopt Agentic Commerce models that redefine how customers discover, decide, and transact.

You will work at the intersection of business strategy, experience design, and technology delivery, partnering with clients to translate ambition into measurable outcomes. This role is ideal for a leader who is equally comfortable framing a commerce roadmap as they are driving teams through complex delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of digital commerce strategies across B2C, B2B, and hybrid models
  • Advise clients on future‑state commerce capabilities, including personalization, ecosystem integration, and emerging Agentic Commerce patterns (e.g., AI‑assisted discovery, autonomous purchasing, and intelligent orchestration).
  • Translate market trends, customer insights, and data signals into actionable commerce roadmaps aligned to client growth objectives.
  • Support clients in exploring and piloting agent‑driven use cases, such as LLM engagement, AI shopping assistants, intelligent recommendations, and automated post‑purchase experiences.
  • Ability to lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale digital commerce programs, from discovery and design through build, launch, and optimization.
  • Manage cross‑functional teams (strategy, design, engineering, data) and collaborate with alliance partners to deliver outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience as a trusted advisor to client leaders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business implications.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, shaping client conversations, and identifying opportunities to expand existing engagements.
  • Contribute to the evolution of EY Digital Commerce offerings, accelerators, and thought leadership.
  • Actively participate in building a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performing team culture.
  • This role includes periodic travel, which may range from once a month to several times per month based on client and team needs. Travel expectations are discussed in advance and balanced with flexibility.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong grounding in digital commerce fundamentals, including platforms, customer journeys, and omnichannel ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge strategy and execution, with hands‑on experience leading complex delivery.
  • High curiosity and enthusiasm for AI‑driven and agentic experiences, with the ability to learn rapidly and apply new concepts in client‑ready ways.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping clients navigate emerging and evolving technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 6–10+ years of experience in consulting, digital commerce, product, or technology‑enabled transformation roles.
  • Experience delivering commerce solutions across platforms (e.g., headless, composable, or enterprise commerce ecosystems).
  • Exposure to AI, data, or intelligent automation in a commerce or customer experience context is strongly preferred.
