Role Overview

Lead client engagements focused on regulatory reporting transformation by advising financial services organizations on the assessment, design, implementation, and optimization of regulatory reporting operating models, processes, data, and technology capabilities. Partner with senior client stakeholders to identify regulatory reporting challenges, define strategic objectives, and develop solutions that enhance reporting accuracy, control environments, scalability, and regulatory compliance.

Lead requirements gathering workshops and translate business objectives into target-state operating models, functional requirements, solution architectures, and implementation roadmaps. Oversee the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization of regulatory reporting technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business, regulatory, and technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead regulatory reporting transformation and technology implementation engagements for financial services clients.
  • Oversee requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, functional design, solution architecture, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support planning.
  • Drive data strategy and reporting initiatives, including data governance, data quality, data modeling, data warehousing, and regulatory reporting infrastructure modernization.
  • Manage engagement planning, budgeting, resource allocation, quality review, project governance, risk management, issue resolution, and overall delivery execution.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of EY professionals, client stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships and communicate project status, recommendations, risks, and strategic insights to senior client and EY leadership.
  • Identify client needs, connect opportunities to EY solution offerings, and support business development activities, including proposals, pursuit support, solution development, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, provide performance coaching, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory guidance, industry practices, emerging technologies, and financial services reporting trends.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of progressive work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of progressive work experience with a Master's degree.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working within a financial services organization or providing consulting services to financial services clients.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience leading regulatory reporting transformation, regulatory reporting technology implementations, or regulatory reporting operations initiatives.
  • Experience leading system implementation execution and system implementation design, including configuration, testing, deployment, and production support model development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and business process transformation activities.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with record-to-report processes, finance transformation, or financial and regulatory reporting operations.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with data management, data modeling, data governance, data warehousing, and reporting solutions.
  • Experience managing project teams, workstreams, engagement budgets, risks, timelines, resources, and delivery quality.
  • Experience interacting with senior client stakeholders and presenting recommendations, project status, risks, and strategic insights to leadership.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 70%, of which 20% may be international, to serve client needs.

  • Strong understanding of Finance and Regulatory Reporting Operations and Technology, Data Warehousing Features and Functionality, and Regulatory Reporting Systems Features and Functionality.
  • Ability to advise clients on business process, organizational, data, and technology capabilities across regulatory reporting environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate workstreams, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality client solutions in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to translate complex regulatory, data, and technology topics into clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Commercial mindset with experience identifying client opportunities and communicating them to EY leadership.
  • Commitment to coaching, teaming, inclusiveness, quality, and maintaining current knowledge of regulatory guidance and industry practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years of progressive work experience.
  • Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field and 4 years of progressive work experience.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $142,600 to $261,500.  The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $171,200 to $297,200.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
