Your new job | About your main responsibilities
The GL Employee supports the team coordinator and the senior team member of the Dutch team. The Dutch team works closely with a team based in Poland.
In the Netherlands, the role includes:
- Coordination of the full GL spectrum
- Review of all balance sheet accounts
- Review of all profit and loss accounts
- Review of all GL-assigned tasks relating to VAT and payroll tax returns and payments
- Handling the processing of HR-related administrative matters, such as pension, salary, vacation days, overtime, and provisions
- Performing periodic checks
- Setting up and executing periodic closings and year-end closings
- Monitoring compliance with all EY Global administrative requirements
- Working closely and aligning intensively with the Polish team in line with a one-team approach
- Treasury management and support with cash management activities
The GL Employee has individual responsibilities and works closely with the colleagues mentioned above. In this role, you work partly independently and support the team coordinator and senior team member with review activities
Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution
- A completed higher professional education degree(BSC) in business administration or business economics (for example SPD or HBO BA/BE)
- Three to four years of relevant work experience within an internationally operating company, including experience in independently maintaining and/or reviewing an administration
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, as this language is used on a daily basis
- Curiosity about developments, including technological changes, that continuously influence and transform the work within EY
- Willingness to work closely with EY colleagues on an international scale
- Due to the international nature of the organization and collaboration with colleagues in other time zones, it may occasionally be necessary to work outside the usual hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
