About the opportunity
EY is seeking an experienced Data Vault Architecture Lead to help financial institutions modernize enterprise data platforms and regulatory reporting capabilities. You will lead the design of large-scale banking data architectures leveraging Data Vault 2.0, Databricks, Medallion Architecture, and industry standards such as FIBO. The role will focus on designing implementation-ready enterprise information architectures, developing common data models, defining source-to-target mappings, and establishing scalable integration patterns for regulatory reporting, analytics, risk management, and AI initiatives.
Your key responsibilities

Lead Data Vault 2.0 architecture and modelling engagements for banking and financial services clients.

Design and review: Hubs / Links / Satellites / Business Vault structures / PIT and Bridge tables.

Define enterprise logical and physical data models.

Lead business key identification and relationship modelling workshops.

Drive source-to-target mapping activities across multiple source systems.

Define Data Vault integration layers within Medallion architectures.

Establish standards for: Metadata management / Lineage / Auditability / Traceability / Historical data management

Align business concepts and information models with industry standards such as FIBO.

Collaborate with business SMEs, enterprise architects, data engineers, governance teams, and regulatory stakeholders.

Provide architectural leadership during design and implementation planning phases.

Mentor project teams and review deliverables to ensure Data Vault best practices are followed.

Support proposal development, solution shaping, and client presentations.
Required Qualifications
-
8-15 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modelling, or Enterprise Data Management.

Proven experience leading Data Vault 2.0 programmes.

Strong practical knowledge of: Raw Vault / Business Vault / PIT tables / Bridge tables / Historization patterns

Experience with banking, regulatory reporting, finance, risk, or treasury data domains.

Strong source-to-target mapping experience.

Experience designing modern lakehouse architectures.

Deep understanding of: Data lineage / Metadata / Audit requirements / Data governance frameworks.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Data Vault 2.0 certification.

Databricks experience.
-
FIBO knowledge.
-
Regulatory reporting platform experience.

Experience with BCBS239, Risk Data Aggregation, Finance Data Architecture, or Common Data Models.

Consulting experience within a large professional services organization.
