Job description

Requisition ID:  1455704

In your career, will you tick all the right boxes or think outside them?

At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart.

We bring together extraordinary people, like you, to build a better working world.

What’s in it for you?

As the NT Accounts and Markets Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organisation's growth initiatives and assist in maintaining key government panel contracts with guidance from the business. This multifaceted position involves facilitating government roundtables, building strategic networks, supporting tender processes, engaging new markets, fostering partnerships, and providing essential office support.

Key to your success will be your ability to build relationships within EY, establishing effective cross-function collaboration with other parts of the Oceania business such as Finance, Business Development, Workplace Services, Marketing & Markets Operations, tapping into the broader EY business’s systems, processes and methodologies. Our team works closely to identify market demand, i.e. which industries, accounts and services have strong growth potential now and into the future.

Responsibilities

  • Help to drive business growth and revenue through playing a role in strategic planning, relationship building and management of existing relationships in partnership with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  • With supportive guidance, work to identify and pursue new opportunities, with a focus on areas the firm is not currently active.
  • Provide comprehensive office support, including ad hoc tasks relevant to a small office environment, organise team events and help to facilitate sector-aligned industry events in line with strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate with other business departments to obtain performance reporting, strategic insights, data quality, and resource allocation, working closely with the Government Strategic Operations Leader and other stakeholders.
  • Support the execution of the Account Management Framework on key priority accounts within the jurisdiction.

What we’re looking for

You will be a self-starter who enjoys engaging with new people and content.  You will have good organisational and analytical skills with a proven acumen to develop professional client relationships and an ability to identify opportunities with guidance from client facing teams. With your high regard for customer processes, you can help us to build a market profile in the Northern Territory.

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • Ideally government / professional services and/or operations experience
  • Strong administration, operational skills and some demonstrated client relationship building acumen
  • Ability to solve problems and deliver business solutions
  • The confidence to express clear ideas and opinions to senior stakeholders
  • The ability to deliver in an environment of peak workloads and competing demands
  • Bachelor’s/University degree, preferably in business related discipline

What we can offer you

  • An opportunity to work with some flexibility (some attendance at after-hours events on occasion required)
  • Enjoy a small office environment locally whilst having the ability to tap into all the strengths of a global business to support you
