Tax Data Analyst, Business Tax Advisory (Quantitative Services) (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1565398), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Dallas, TX.
Analyze large datasets to determine the impact tax has on clients’ business in a post-tax reform environment. Apply current tools and emerging technologies, such as SharePoint, MS Power BI, MS Power Pivot, MS Power Query and Alteryx. Directly interface with clients and support day-to-day project management activities by analyzing the client data/information, and preparing the commensurate analyses. Identify various cash tax savings and refund opportunities in the areas of FDII, BEAT, and GILTI planning; R&D credits; accounting methods; capitalization and cost recovery; transaction costs; inventory; and others. Proactively manage projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality analysis and client deliverables.
Manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Tax, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Tax, or a related field and 3 years of work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience working in a professional services firm, a consulting firm, or a mid-sized/regional to large-sized/national public accounting firm, or in an in-house role.
Must have 3 years of experience with current data analytics and visual tools, including Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query and Alteryx.
Must have 2 years of experience analyzing data related to 2 or more of the following: FDII, BEAT, GILTI Planning, R&D Credits, Meals & Entertainment, Revenue & Expense Recognition, Sec.174, Cost Segregation, Capitalization & Cost Recovery, Transaction Costs, Lobbying Expense Analysis and Inventory/UNICAP.
Must have 2 years of experience in data mining tools.
Must have 2 years of experience guiding junior tax or data analytics professionals by providing effective performance feedback and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals.
