Job description
Location: Anywhere in Country
At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.
We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.
Our objective is to provide clients with a unique business perspective on how to leverage SAP technology to improve their operations. This is rooted in EY's SAP service line capabilities (Supply Chain, FICO, BPC, Data & Analytics, Customer, Tech/Arch and SuccessFactors) that are focused on helping clients improve performance and increase productivity.
The opportunity
We are seeking an SAP IBP professional to join our Technology Consulting team and contribute to complex supply chain transformation engagements. In this role, you will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to design and implement SAP-enabled planning solutions that improve business performance. You will gain exposure to end-to-end delivery, strengthen your functional and technical expertise, and grow your ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
As a Senior in Technology Business Analysis, you will be instrumental in connecting business needs with technical solutions. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating business models, eliciting requirements, and ensuring the technical teams deliver solutions that are in perfect harmony with business objectives.
Your key responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch business analysis and system configuration. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Translating complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications
- Configuring and implementing solutions that align with business needs
- Identifying opportunities for service expansion and contributing to sales through RFP responses
- Expect to travel regularly and lead project streams while actively engaging with clients.
- Collaborate effectively with global teams and assist in leading design and testing sessions while coordinating with other dependent teams.
- Provide design insights and lead the build, testing, and deployment of supply chain solutions across various technology landscapes
- Exhibit hands-on technical capabilities in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) tool and demonstrated strong business acumen of demand planning or supply planning capabilities. Show a continuous willingness to learn and adapt to new knowledge.
- Consistently deliver high-quality client services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as change management, and provide relevant inputs as part of larger transformation engagements.
- Show curiosity and initiative in developing client sector knowledge to help co-create EY industry solutions.
Skills and attributes for success
On your typical engagement, you will collaborate with EY workstream leads, assisting them during the exploration and design phases to capture business requirements and propose technology designs. Following the design phase, you will lead in the build, testing and deployment phases with minimal oversight. You will be expected to engage in horizontal collaboration with cross-functional teams and will also have the opportunity to coach and develop teams vertically.
To thrive in this role, you should be action-oriented and adept at delivering processes, solutions, and projects. Your influence will extend beyond project delivery, impacting sales and service offerings. Key skills include:
- Analytical prowess and decision-making based on a broad understanding of policies.
- Ability to execute SAP IBP solution activities across design, build, test, and deployment phases, supporting alignment to business planning processes (demand, supply, S&OP).
- Strong capability to translate supply chain requirements into scalable SAP IBP solutions using standard functionality and leading practices.
- Experience contributing to solution design discussions with cross-functional stakeholders (planning, finance, operations) and validating business requirements.
- Solid functional knowledge of demand and/or supply planning, including planning KPIs, data models, and integration touchpoints.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global delivery teams to support configuration, testing, and defect resolution.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, accountability, and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) experience with configuration in one or more modules (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, Inventory Optimization, or Response & Supply).
- Experience supporting at least one end-to-end IBP implementation or major enhancement cycle.
- Strong understanding of supply chain planning processes (forecasting, supply planning, inventory, or S&OP).
- Experience translating business requirements into functional designs and working closely with technical teams for delivery.
- Strong client communication skills with experience facilitating design or testing sessions.
- Proven ability to manage deliverables independently and contribute to workstream execution.
- A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Prior consulting experience in supply chain planning transformations.
- SAP IBP certification.
- Experience with integrations to SAP S/4HANA (e.g., CIF, SDI, RTI) and data modeling concepts in IBP.
- Exposure to Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) within IBP.
- Experience with planning analytics, dashboards, and scenario modeling in IBP.
