The opportunity
As a Solution Architect specializing in UKG PRO PPC, you will leverage your growing expertise and passion for HR/Payroll solutions to develop and enhance our People Consulting UKG practice. Working closely with our team, you will ensure clients achieve the maximum value from their workforce management investments, focusing on quality execution, advanced configuration, and team development. Your role will focus on understanding clients' current states and applying your knowledge and best practices to deliver high-quality, advanced solutions on time and within budget.
Your key responsibilities
You will be a key resource on large-scale HR/Payroll related projects, primarily UKG Pro PPC. In this role, you will act as lead designer of the UKG PPC solution, including advanced solutioning to provide successful outcomes related to specific, complex business requirements. Collaborates with the Project Manager to demonstrate effective leadership and management of internal resources to meet project objectives including scope, time, cost and quality. Owns the overall quality of the delivered system, running quality checks at designated intervals. Assist in facilitating working sessions for both internal and client teams, tailoring strategic objectives to meet specific client needs. Help create functional and technical design documents, test plans, test cases, user training documents, and implementation documentation. Assist in the development of team members, as a Mentor, ad hoc trainer, support, and acts as a role model within the project team. Delivers pre-Launch advisory services, as requested, to include but not limited to pre-sales consulting, software demo preparation, vendor selection, and other sales strategies (direct to end-client sales). Support PPC configurations, implementations, modifications, and upgrades, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, design, development, and support. Participate in full life cycle activities (Discovery, Design, Configuration, Build, Testing, Knowledge Transfer, Migration, and Postproduction Support) as well as Special Projects, departmental objectives, and creating and packaging new service offerings. Provide subject matter expertise and best practices for work execution/output in all projects and upon request to internal team members. Completes all EY, UKG and related training requirements as required and maintains certifications necessary to work in the UKG environment. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UKG Releases and cascade information to both Consultants and Customers.
Skills and attributes for success
- PPC Consulting, with strong configuration experience, especially in sectors like manufacturing, retail and healthcare.
- The Solution Architect Role requires a high degree of functional proficiency, as well as advanced knowledge of project strategy.
- Leading enterprise UKG Pro PPC implementations as a well-rounded consultant.
- Advanced knowledge of the UKG Pro PPC system.
- Introduces the overall technical vision for a particular solution and bridges the gap between business requirements and technology solutions.
- Analytics functionality within UKG WFM, both out of the box and tailored configuration based on client requirements
- Deliver quality client service and work products, deliver insightful solutions and balance multiple priorities.
- Analyze data or facts and assist in summarizing and presenting findings, regularly engaging and collaborating with all functional areas and team members coordinating work efforts across Solution and System Consultants to ensure smooth customer engagement and project success.
- Support thought leadership initiatives to develop new or improved processes, methodologies, systems, tools, or services. Commitment to on-going learning and the application of knowledge in day-to-day work.
To qualify for the role you must have
- 2-5 years of experience with the UKG Dimensions or Workforce Central (Legacy Kronos) Timekeeping module.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Demonstrated ability in supporting client projects, leveraging knowledge in Time Management, Attendance, Leave Management, Forecasting, and Labor Scheduling.
- Experience in participating in or supporting global and/or multi-national UKG WFM and HR system implementations.
- Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Large-scale project management experience, inclusive of global or multi-national client WFM project experience
- Global WFM consulting experience, knowledge of WFM and HR technology vendors, primarily UKG. Other technology solutions such as ADP, Workforce Software, Ceridian, PeopleSoft/Oracle, SAP, Workday, are desirable.
- Common knowledge of WFM, with priority to UKG, business process activities; and ability to modify and apply processes depending upon client sector
- Strong numbers acumen, including analytical abilities and knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $101,500 to $186,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $121,700 to $211,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
