IT Advisor, Alliances and Platforms, Financial Product Subledger - Financial Services Office (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1498480), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Dallas, TX.
Lead workstreams within multi-faceted financial product subledger implementation projects at large financial services institutions. Support service delivery including but not limited to defining project approach, leading and motivating project work streams, monitoring and managing project risks, managing stakeholders, and successfully delivering client solutions. Work with a team to execute technology implementations and building/driving improvements within the client’s operating model (i.e., organization structure, governance, process, data sourcing / data quality / data reconciliation, and enabling tools and technologies). Research emerging technologies to decide if installing them can increase the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. Prepare an analysis of costs and benefits so that management can decide if IT systems and computing infrastructure upgrades are financially worthwhile. Devise ways to add new functionality to existing computer systems. Design and implement new systems by choosing and configuring software solutions. Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems to customize them for the organization. Conduct testing to ensure that the systems work as expected. Train the systems’ end users and write instruction manuals.
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in defining business and technical requirements. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field and 4 years of work experience in defining business and technical requirements.
Must have 4 years of experience in a financial services company (bank, insurance or asset management company) or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company.
Must have 2 years of consulting experience, providing advisory services in finance area.
Must have 1 year of experience in leading workstreams within multi-faceted financial product subledger implementation projects at large financial services institutions.
Must have 3 years of experience with at least four (4) of the following technical capabilities across financial products, accounting, reporting and data including:
- Drafting and maintaining business requirements documents (BRDs) for financial product accounting events
- Drafting and maintaining reporting requirements across SEC, Regulatory, and Management reporting for financial products
- Modeling of financial instruments to verify system generated calculations of accounting events
- Configuring and maintaining accounting methods and posting rules for all relevant accounting events
- Development of test cases for each accounting event
- Researching and resolving test defects within the software functionality
- Training system end users
- Working closely with software vendor subject matter experts to implement new functionality and/or troubleshoot problems
- Participation in unit, functional and user-acceptance test phases
- Providing post- “go-live” support to system end users for data related matters
- Participating in project planning and status updates
- Developing schedules and budgets for workstream.
Must have 4 years of experience in supporting service delivery including but not limited to defining project approach, leading and motivating project work streams, monitoring and managing project risks, managing stakeholders, and successfully delivering client solutions.
Requires travel up to 70%, of which 20% may be international, in order to serve client needs.
