As part of our Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG) you will be part of a technology organization that develops and maintains innovative solutions for our client-serving Tax professionals. ATTG professionals will partner with our Tax professionals to develop supporting technology such as AI enabled tools to improve internal operations, and application of Process Automation to efficiently transform workflow processes.
The opportunity
The Studio Director (Product Manager) sits within the Technology Enablement pillar and serves as the primary product and delivery interface between Tax business leadership and Technology. This role owns the vision, roadmap, and value realization of ATTG studio products, ensuring they are business‑led, AI‑enabled, secure, and scalable.
The Studio Director is accountable for translating business strategy into measurable product outcomes, leveraging modern product practices, AI‑assisted development, and strong governance.
Your key responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned to Tax business priorities.
- Accountable for business value, adoption, and measurable outcomes across the product portfolio.
- Balance value, feasibility, urgency, and risk to prioritize the product backlog.
AI Enabled Product Delivery
- Leverage AI assisted prototyping and rapid experimentation to validate concepts and accelerate learning.
- Ensure products are designed with responsible AI principles, including transparency, human oversight, and compliance with EY risk and data standards.
- Partner with Architecture, Engineering, and Risk teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant.
Lifecycle & Governance Management
- Own products through their full lifecycle: ideation, funding, build, launch, adoption, and retirement.
- Lead annual planning, roadmap driven investment decisions, and business case development for governance forums.
- Direct continuous improvement of products, operating models, and environments to remain current with technology, regulation, and business needs.
Stakeholder & Vendor Leadership
- Act as the primary accountable product leader for ATTG business sponsors.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships and vendor partners to ensure aligned delivery and clear accountability.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, prioritized product requirements.
People & Team Leadership
- Lead a functional product team with responsibility for utilization, assignments, capability development, and performance management.
- Set clear goals, coach team members, and establish product standards and ways of working.
- Align Business Analysts, Solution Designers, and Engineers around customer experience and delivery outcomes.
- Own product budgets and manage spend within approved guidelines.
- Ensure investments deliver demonstrable returns and business impact.

- Deep understanding of modern software development lifecycles, including agile and AI assisted solution delivery
- Proven ability to prioritize and make decisions based on data, risk assessments, and quality reviews
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and systems thinking skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior leadership
- The ability to understand tax law and technology implications at a strategic level
- Experience operating within enterprise governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
- Strong leadership capabilities: coaching, delegation, performance management, and team development
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment
- Responsible for training and standards for functional team performance
- Has direct responsibility for supervising personnel, (i.e., sets goals, assigns work, reviews performance, and conducts career development discussions)
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor's degree (computer science, engineering, accounting, finance preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Master's degree preferred
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Management experience a plus
Ideally, you'll also have
- Ability to work and team effectively with clients and high-level leadership personnel as well as influence all team members

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $76,500 to $174,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $91,700 to $198,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
