Cyber threats, social media, massive data storage, privacy requirements and continuity of the business as usual require heavy information security measures. As an information security specialist, you will assist in the end to end implementation of security solutions for our clients and support our clients in their desire to protect the business.

 

The Opportunity

 

This is a role where no two days are the same – so you’ll find yourself taking on plenty of new responsibilities as you go. You’ll work alongside clients and colleagues, balancing your time between developing security strategies, advising stakeholders, providing workshops and supporting business development.

We are seeking experienced Senior Managers and Directors with deep expertise in one or more of the following domains: Security Operations, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Security Strategy & Governance, or Data Protection & Privacy. Experience serving clients within the Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets or broader Financial Services sector will be highly regarded.


Your Key Responsibilities

As a Cyber Security Senior Manager/Director, you will lead the assessment, design, implementation and transformation of cyber security capabilities for our clients. You will be part of an international connected team of specialists helping clients address their most complex security challenges while enhancing resilience and regulatory compliance.

  • Lead and deliver large-scale cyber security transformation programmes across Security Operations, IAM, Security Strategy, and/or Data Protection domains.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, CISOs, CIOs, Risk Leaders and senior business stakeholders.
  • Develop cyber security strategies, target operating models, governance frameworks and transformation roadmaps.
  • Drive business development activities, including client relationship management, proposal development, thought leadership and market-facing initiatives.
  • Manage and coach high-performing teams across multiple engagements.
  • Support financial services clients in addressing regulatory requirements, cyber resilience objectives and operational risk challenges.
  • Lead engagement delivery, project governance, stakeholder management and quality assurance across complex client programmes.

 

Skills and Attributes for Success

 

  • Extensive experience leading cyber security consulting engagements within one or more of the following domains:Security Operations (SOC, Threat Detection & Response, Incident Response, Cyber Resilience), Identity & Access Management (IAM, IGA, PAM, Access Controls), Security Strategy & Governance and/or Data Protection, Privacy and Information Protection
  • Strong understanding of cyber security risks facing Financial Services organisations, including banking, insurance and capital markets sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior executives and articulate cyber security risks, business impact and transformation opportunities.
  • Experience in delivering multiple security projects and solutions across one or more of the following domains: Cyber Program Management, Cyber Threat Management, Identity & Access Management, Data Protection, Privacy, Security Operations and Cyber Analytics. This experience should include both advisory, implementation and operation experience. 
  • Understand security concepts and how they apply to business and technology solutions.
  • Be able to articulate threats and risk to business and technology leaders.
  • Understand project management concepts and how they can be applied to security related projects. 
  • Strong technical security skills in assessment, design, implementation, architecture, and program / project delivery and work across various delivery models e.g. Waterfall, Agile, DevOps.
     

To Qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • A recognized university degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant cyber security experience for Senior Manager level and 12+ years for Director level.
  • Proven consulting experience gained within a professional services, advisory or management consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large client engagements and managing senior executive stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering cyber security programmes within the Financial Services sector is strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in at least one of the following specialisations: Security Operations, IAM, Security Strategy, or Data Protection.
  • Strong interest in the field of information security.
  • Creative, independent with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Experience advising organisations on AI governance, Responsible AI, Generative AI security and AI risk management, including the design of governance frameworks, security controls, operating models and compliance approaches for emerging AI technologies.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, CRISC, PRINCE2 or ITIL. 
  • Experience advising financial institutions on cyber security governance, regulatory compliance, cyber resilience and operational risk matters.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide cyber transformation programmes and operating model design initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with leading cyber security technologies and platforms relevant to Security Operations, IAM or Data Protection environments.
  • Solution-level certifications or specialist credentials relevant to the candidate's area of expertise.
  • Experience supporting business development, account management and market growth initiatives.
