The Markets function within Central Business Services (CBS) play a critical role in helping deliver against EY’s purpose and vision, by delivering distinctive, audience-centric marketing, brand, communications and business development initiatives, that have a measurable impact. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Marketing Manager within our Markets team in Cork, to help us achieve our growth ambitions.
Our Regional Marketing Manager will work closely with the Markets Director and the wider Markets team, across the Island of Ireland. This role will require close working relationships with the Regional Partner in Charge and the business leaders in Munster and across our regional offices. The role will have responsibility for developing and implementing best-in-class marketing and brand building initiatives, designed to strengthen the firm’s relationships with all major C-Suite clients and targets, to drive brand profile and reputation for EY and also to support revenue growth, in line with the firm’s strategic objectives.
Major responsibilities
The role is accountable for the following elements of our regional marketing:
Marketing Planning:
Assist in developing the annual integrated strategic marketing plan for the region, to align with the wider Markets agenda and designed to deliver the firm’s strategic business objectives, across reputation, relationships and revenue, for the region.
Events and Sponsorship:
Driving out a comprehensive annual programme of client events, briefings and seminars, both in-person and virtual, including alumni events, C-Suite programmes, hospitality and industry marketing events. In addition, the role has responsibility for managing EY’s representation at external events and ensuring the firm and its partners are duly represented.
Brand Management:
As the custodian of the firm’s brand management activities, the Marketing Manager will work closely with the firm’s in-house Creative team and wider members of the Markets team to ensure the EY Brand is represented at all times in a manner that reflects our brand values and identity.
Advertising, Digital and Social Media:
Work with the digital marketing team to ensure we leverage best practices for EY across all digital marketing and online channels to ensure EY’s brand and profile occupies a dominant position in the region. Help to put in place an annual programme of brand building activities across appropriate channels, optimise the firm’s digital, social and online activities and ensure excellence in the firm’s digital-first approach to marketing.
CRM and Analytics:
Manage the firm’s reporting and analytics around all Marketing activities for the region, to ensure that appropriate tracking, data management and ROI metrics are in place.
Thought Leadership and Content:
Working with the central Thought Leadership team, help drive out the annual programme of content for our sector and solution specialists in the region, ensuring all relevant channels are optimised to develop the profile and reputation of our Partners as subject matter experts and thought leaders, in the market.
Budget Management:
Responsibility for tracking, measuring and reporting budget spend.
Experience, Skills and Competencies required to qualify for the role
- A degree in Marketing/or a business-related degree; or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years’ experience in marketing management in a large corporate environment, preferably professional services
- Experience of working in large/matrix organisations, balancing multiple stakeholder requirements
- Time and project management skills – highly organised with a sound attention to detail and an ability to deliver to deadlines
- A strong track record of strategic marketing campaign and event management
- Solid experience in leveraging digital and social media to maximise campaigs
- A can-do approach and a strong team player
- The ability to juggle conflicting demands on time and prioritise effectively
