WebLogic TechOps (Application Management) Senior Consultant

 

The Opportunity

We are looking for an WebLogic consultant to join the EY GDS Team. As part of our EY GDS – TechOps team, you will be responsible for providing support for across various regions for our global clients. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to address issues, implement enhancements, and optimize design to meet business requirements.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences.
  • 5-9 Years of experience required in one or more areas within ARCOS preferably with Global client
  • Manage and administer Oracle WebLogic Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and security compliance.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain applications on WebLogic Server, IIS (Internet Information Services), and Apache Tomcat.
  • Monitor server health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to resolve WebLogic, IIS, and Tomcat errors.
  • Implement patching, upgrades, and backups for WebLogic, IIS, and Tomcat servers.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and network teams to support middleware infrastructure and deployments.
  • Automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency through scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Provide production support and incident management for WebLogic, IIS, and Tomcat environments.
  • Manage security configurations, including SSL, authentication, and authorization for WebLogic, IIS, and Tomcat platforms.
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) (preferable).
  • Familiarity with Saperion administration (preferable).
  • Knowledge and hands-on Incident and Change management SNOW usage.
  • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and performance tuning activities across middleware platforms.
  • Deep understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes and methodology and how it interacts with the application lifecycle management principles
  • Ability to manage cross functional and technical team, give them directions and drive functional and technical discussions with various stake holders
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization
  • Client management, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically and make data driven decisions
  • Responsible for providing support within the Arcos domain expert module for incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Support incident solving by analyzing incidents raised by users and provides solutions.
  • Working closely with customers and teams to ensure issues and requests are followed-up and addressed timely.
  • Handle change requests with a clear understanding of new business requirements.
  • Understand business needs and deliver solutions to make processes more efficient and simpler whenever possible.
  • Cross-functional communication skills; experience in offshore/onshore model.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross functional team environment.
  • Flexibility in managing work hours due to the volatile nature of Application Management work including ability to do shifts and being on call for critical business requirements

 

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Any certification in the relevant skill
  • Experience in good Team management skills, People skills, communication, soft skills etc
  • Expertise in working with Onshore teams with good co-ordination and collaboration

 

What you will do:

  • Provide day to day Application Management support for Arcos AP Applications across IT Service Management including service requests, incident management, enhancement requests, change management and problem management as Level 2 or 3 Application Management Specialist
  • Lead and mentor the cross functional team fostering culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Lead and Coordinate the Resolution of Complex Technical issues and System Outages including root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, assess business needs and provide advice on Arcos solutions and designs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including configuration, user guides and test scripts.
  • Mentor and train junior Arcos functional and technical Team Members, sharing best practices and providing guidance on issues and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and Arcos best practices to drive operational efficiency through automation and innovation
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide off hours support as needed to ensure the availability and reliability of critical Arcos systems.
  • Available to work on shift hours depending on the requirement of the client (AUSTRALIA, ASIA, Europe and AMERICAS hours)
