As an Audit Support Team Lead, you'll guide and develop a talented team, collaborate with audit professionals across EY, and help shape the future of our services through innovation, continuous improvement, and technology-enabled solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who combines audit or accounting expertise with a passion for coaching, team development, and operational excellence.

Your key responsibilities

Lead with purpose

• Coordinate and support the daily activities of the team, ensuring balanced workloads and smooth delivery.
• Create an environment where people can grow, collaborate, and perform at their best.
• Inspire accountability, ownership, and a positive team culture.

Develop people and careers

• Coach, mentor, and support team members in achieving their professional goals.
• Provide regular feedback, guidance, and performance support.
• Identify development opportunities and encourage continuous learning.

Drive quality and excellence

• Review deliverables and ensure compliance with EY methodologies and quality standards.
• Monitor team performance and key metrics.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.

Partner with the business

• Collaborate closely with EY audit teams on a wide range of engagements.
• Support the preparation of audit documentation, reports, and client deliverables.
• Contribute to complex audit-related activities and departmental initiatives.

Skills and attributes for success

• 2-3+ years of experience leading, coordinating, or supervising a team.
• Previous experience in financial audit, accounting, or a related field.
• Intermediate or advanced English skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Romanian GAAP.
• Basic understanding of IFRS.
• Experience working in a shared services, support, or operational environment.
• Passion for process improvement and team development.
