Tax Jr - Indirect Tax (Advanced English)

EY is looking for a motivated and analytical professional to join our Indirect Tax practice as a Tax Associate.

In this role, you will support multinational and local clients with indirect tax compliance, tax advisory projects, and the analysis of tax matters impacting their operations in Mexico.

This position offers the opportunity to work with professionals across different industries.

Advanced English is mandatory and will be used on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Support indirect tax compliance activities, including VAT calculations and tax reporting.
• Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns and working papers.
• Conduct tax research and analysis of Mexican tax legislation.
• Support tax advisory projects for multinational clients.
• Assist in responding to information requests from tax authorities.
• Analyze financial and tax information to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with local and international engagement teams.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 2 years of experience are welcome.

Experience

• 2 years of experience in:
• Tax
• Accounting
• Tax Compliance
• VAT
• Financial Analysis

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of Mexican tax regulations.
• Knowledge of VAT (IVA) is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to analyze financial information.

Language Requirement

Advanced English - Mandatory

Candidates must be able to:

• Participate in meetings conducted in English.
• Prepare written communications in English.
• Interact with multinational clients and global teams.
• Understand technical documentation in English.
