Manager Private Client Services

About the role

We are looking for a Manager within the EY Private team in Christchurch. Christchurch and the surrounding region is in growth mode and so are we – what’s more, we are located in a prime position in the centre of town to support.

As a Manger, you will be responsible for;

  • Having a well-rounded, innovative and progressive way of thinking that keep our clients at the forefront of everything we do, including a combination of technical and commercial acumen to advise our clients in the best way.
  • Being mindful of the impact we and our clients, are having on society and the environment

Day-to-day tasks can vary, but may include the following;

  • Advising and helping clients in areas that may include structuring, capital raising, transactions, application of specific NZ legislation, tax technical, succession planning and more. Every day is different!
  • Managing our clients accounting and tax compliance
  • Delivering financial reporting, management reporting and CFO Support Services to our clients
  • Providing assistance with budgeting, forecasting, modelling
  • Acting as the key point of contact for your clients and a conduit to EY’s extensive specialised services and international network
  • Being the counsellor to between 1-3 junior staff members
  • Enhancing EY market presence and building both your personal brand and the EY brand in our market.


Skills and attributes for success

  • Advanced financial reporting and tax technical knowledge, as well as up-to-date knowledge of market trends and developments.
  • Proven experience delivering strong client focus and building relationships with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Proven experience in assisting teams, coaching juniors and developing people to get the best outcomes for everyone
