EY GCR services help companies achieve their strategic objectives for outsourcing their compliance and reporting functions at a local, regional and global level.            

The role of a Tax Consultant involves participating in tax engagements and other related activities under the guidance of more experienced personnel, and establishing and enhancing relationships with the appropriate personnel on assigned clients.

 

 

  • Providing advice on the application of tax law

  • Providing tax planning and structuring (inbound and outbound) advice

  • Assisting clients with their tax compliance, including tax calculations and reconciliations for the purposes of the financial statements

  • Preparing/reviewing income tax returns

  • Assisting the wider team to ensure that EY is our client’s trusted advisor and the conduit to EY’s extensive specialised services and international network. ​​​​​​​

  • A tertiary qualification relevant to the role.

  • Strong intellectual rigour and commercial awareness combined with first-class numeracy, written and analytical skills

  • Previous experience advising on aspects of technical NZ tax concepts, as well as an awareness of market trends and developments.

  • Demonstrated ability to swiftly grasp new systems such as Microsoft Office.

The salary range for this role is expected to be NZD 61,000 to NZD 72,000 dependent on skills and experience. This full-time role is for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
