At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.  Join EY and help to build a better working world.

The opportunity

This is a rapidly growing area, and Studio+ is helping clients modernize how they sell, serve, engage, and operate through Salesforce, Data Cloud, Agentforce, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled ways of working. You will contribute across discovery, definition, design, build, test, deploy, and adoption, working closely with clients and delivery teams to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.

As a Senior Salesforce Solution Architect, you will help bridge functional business needs and technical delivery. You will support client workshops, shape user journeys and business processes, design Salesforce solutions, and help teams apply AI fluency, prompt design, and responsible automation to improve user productivity and business outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead or support business-led discovery sessions to understand client objectives, operational pain points, user journeys, decision points, adoption barriers, and measurable outcomes before defining the solution.
  • Translate functional requirements into solution designs across Salesforce products, integrations, data models, automation, security, reporting, and user experiences.
  • Design AI-assisted and agentic workflows using Salesforce capabilities such as Agentforce, Prompt Builder, Einstein, Data Cloud/Data 360, Flow, Apex, APIs, and enterprise knowledge sources where appropriate.
  • Draft, test, and iterate prompt instructions, agent behavior rules, grounding strategies, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop review points to improve reliability and business usability.
  • Create clear solution documentation, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, data/integration notes, configuration specifications, and handoff materials for developers, testers, and client stakeholders.
  • Identify gaps between current and future state capabilities, including data readiness, integration complexity, technical debt, user experience, and change impacts.
  • Partner with developers and technical architects to define specifications for custom code, integrations, migrations, and proof-of-concept scenarios.
  • Apply quality, risk management, privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible AI considerations throughout design, testing, deployment, and adoption.
  • Contribute to Agile delivery ceremonies, sprint planning, demos, UAT readiness, defect triage, and release preparation.
  • Mentor analysts and consultants by modeling structured problem solving, client-ready communication, and business-outcome-oriented solution design.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to facilitate client conversations, explain trade-offs, and translate between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Ability to align Salesforce design decisions to business outcomes, user adoption, operational efficiency, governance, and measurable value.
  • Experience with Salesforce configuration, security, automation, data models, integrations, reporting, and multi-cloud solution design.
  • AI fluency, including a practical understanding of generative AI, agentic workflows, prompt design, grounding, testing, human oversight, and responsible AI guardrails.
  • Working knowledge of Agentforce and Prompt Builder concepts, including agent instructions, topics/actions, knowledge retrieval, testing, and escalation patterns.
  • Working knowledge of Data Cloud/Data 360 concepts such as data ingestion, identity resolution, calculated insights, segmentation, activation, and AI grounding.
  • Ability to identify risks across people, process, technology, data, security, privacy, and adoption, and help develop mitigation plans.
  • Comfort using modern delivery tools and AI-enabled productivity tools to accelerate requirements analysis, documentation, testing, and solution validation while maintaining quality and judgment.
  • Complex problem solving, critical thinking, relationship building, emotional agility, and client trust-building.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A four-year bachelor's degree in Business Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered based on firm policy.
  • Typically 2-4+ years of relevant Salesforce implementation experience, including hands-on configuration and customization experience.
  • Experience supporting or leading Salesforce solution design activities within teams of five or more people.
  • Experience facilitating or supporting requirements, design, or process workshops with client stakeholders.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations, data migration concepts, relational database concepts, and agile delivery methods.
  • Salesforce certification(s), such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Business Analyst, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or related credentials.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, communicate clearly, and travel based on client needs.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Salesforce AI Associate, Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist, or equivalent Agentforce/AI badge or credential.
  • Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant or Data 360 Consultant certification.
  • Experience with Agentforce, Prompt Builder, Einstein, Data Cloud/Data 360, MuleSoft, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Tableau, or Slack.
  • Experience designing prompts, agent instructions, knowledge grounding approaches, test cases, or human review workflows.
  • Experience with responsible AI, data governance, privacy, security, regulated environments, or enterprise architecture review processes.
  • Prior consulting experience and experience working with distributed, offshore, or nearshore delivery teams.

What success looks like in this role

  • You design solutions that clearly connect Salesforce capabilities to client business outcomes and user needs.
  • You bring practical AI fluency to client conversations without over-engineering or recommending AI where simpler solutions are more effective.
  • You produce clear, actionable designs that development teams can build and clients can understand.
  • You help teams deliver secure, scalable, adoption-ready Salesforce solutions that balance innovation, governance, and maintainability.

What we look for

We seek top performers with a passion for technology, business transformation, and client impact. The ideal candidate is curious, digitally fluent, AI-aware, and grounded in practical delivery. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, connecting functional needs to technical design, and helping clients adopt solutions that are scalable, trusted, and valuable.
