Strategy and Transactions - EYP-Strategy - Strategy (Health Care) (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1600435), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL. 

 

Advise clients across the transaction lifecycle focusing on corporate finance strategy in the Health Care sector. Develop business strategies by analyzing market trends or conditions, industry trends, financial data, and utilizing customer research, macroeconomic forecasting, and portfolio optimization. Review transaction rationale and/or deal documents to identify critical business issues and risks relating to a proposed transaction. Responsible for independently leading multiple strategy and commercial due diligence projects as case team leader. Lead clients’ most critical business problems. Responsible for defining the scope of the work; drafting the right team for each case (working with internal staffing resources); creating a workplan for the project; running day to operations of the team; setting up key milestones; guiding and reviewing key analyses through primary and secondary research and analytics on client's internal data; crafting the overall story of the answer/solution for the key business issues; communicating with the clients; updating managing directors/principals on team's progress and implementing their feedback on materials; presenting a read-out of the report to clients; and overall delivery of the content to the clients. Act as the point-person for overall success of projects. Support various business development efforts along with managing directors/principals/partners.

 

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Quantitative, Life science, or related field and 7 years of experience (5 of which are progressive post-baccalaureate experience) performing quantitative or qualitative analysis. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Quantitative, Life Science, or related field and 4 years of experience performing quantitative or qualitative analysis.  
 
Must have 2 years of consulting experience providing large, institutional clients with strategic solutions in the Health Care sector.  
 
Must have 2 years of experience managing business strategy and M&A strategic diligence projects in complex environments.  
 
Must have 2 years of experience making detailed assessments of Health Care industry, products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities.  
 
Must have 1 year of experience in project management and in supervising engagement teams comprised of 4 or more team members.  
 
Must have 2 years of experience in all of the following:  
- performing primary research with industry experts and customers,  
- drafting survey instruments, 
- conducting macro-economic forecasts, 
- building financial models from scratch using MS Excel, and  
- presenting analysis and recommendations to senior clients and stakeholders.  
 
Domestic travel required up to 40% to meet client needs.
