The opportunity

The Strategic Account Manager – Strategic Event Solutions Executive will support key internal stakeholder accounts, ensuring alignment with EY’s strategic event objectives, compliance with Global M&E policy, and driving continuous program improvement. This role bridges internal clients with operations, leveraging market expertise, supplier relationships, and analytics to deliver impactful, policy-compliant event solutions.

Your key responsibilities 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned internal accounts, offering strategic guidance for meetings/events
  • Source and contract large, complex events, aligning with EY’s preferred suppliers and local market opportunities
  • Educate stakeholders on Global M&E policy and drive policy compliance across accounts
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly business reviews covering spend, compliance, and market trends
  • Collaborate with operations managers to identify gaps and implement process improvements
  • Partner with analytics teams to develop stakeholder reporting and dashboards
  • Lead or support special projects as directed by the US Strategic Meetings Management Leader
  • Stay current on industry trends and market dynamics to offer proactive strategic advice

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proven ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong relationship management and customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with a focus on quality and process improvement
  • Able to manage multiple complex projects independently
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with M&E tech tools and platforms preferred
  • Prior experience in the Meetings & Events or Strategic Sourcing industry highly desirable

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the events industry
  • A strategic mindset with a collaborative spirit
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • A passion for optimizing the meeting and events experience
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to work outside of core hours

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $88,900 to $166,200.  The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $106,700 to $188,900.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
