Strategy and Transaction – EY Parthenon – Strategy – Strategy Realized – Commercial Strategy (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1581654), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL.
Support the customer, commercial and revenue implications during a transaction to realize improved returns. Minimize customer disruption and identify and unlock value through improvements in go-to-market strategy, commercial operating model, and optimization of the commercial functions (sales, service, marketing). Identify, define, quantify, and realize sustainable value through revenue enhancement and cost and margin improvement tied to the commercial aspects of the clients’ business. Prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions and people. Support and lead various client pursuits contributing to at least $2M per year in team sales. Develop and support thought leadership and intellectual capital.
Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services. Generate and manage new business opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics or a related field and 8 years of experience (5 of which should be progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience). Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics or a related field and 6 years of related work experience.
Must have 5 years of combined experience in commercial and/or transaction consulting experience in one of the following sectors: private equity, technology, media, financial services, life sciences, consumer, retail, or industrial.
Must have 6 years of experience in at least 3 of the of the following:
- Commercial functions (including sales, marketing, customer service, and pricing)
- Go-to-market approaches, growth strategy, and revenue synergy design/capture
- Evaluation of market size, competition and commercial operations
- Designing and executing clean rooms
- Pre-deal strategy including growth assessments.
- Sell and separate
- Buy and integrate
- Post-deal commercial strategy
Must have 1 year of mergers and acquisitions experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
Must have 3 years of experience managing engagements and engagement related budgets; and, leading teams, including projects and engagement leadership, goal setting, and performance reviews.
Must have 2 years of experience in professional services business development and relationship management.
Must have 2 years of experience providing thought leadership in the forms of customer presentations, public speaking, and content writing for blogs and case studies.
Travel required up to 80%, of which 20% may be international.
