The opportunity
We are seeking a forward-thinking SAP professional to join our Technical Consulting team in the SAP Manufacturing domain within the Core Supply Chain team. Collaborating with external clients and internal teams, you will use your strong proficiency in SAP technology to help clients achieve improved outcomes and lasting results. Harnessing our expertise in tax, assurance, transaction and risk, and by utilizing your capabilities to implement SAP, you will pave the way for innovative solutions.
Your key responsibilities
- Serve as a functional SAP Manufacturing functional Subject Matter Resource (SMR) during project implementations. Facilitate design workshops and discussions, gather requirements and recommend S/4 HANA best practices tailored to client needs. Successfully guide the implementation of these solutions within client SAP ecosystems.
- Demonstrate in-depth functional capabilities of SAP Production Planning (PP) and associated modules, coupled with a strong business acumen.
- Ensure high-quality client service, track project milestones, manage risks, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with key client personnel at relevant levels.
Skills and attributes for success
On your typical engagement, you will work with the key stakeholders to understand their business and IT needs in the manufacturing and/or quality management space and advise on how SAP system capabilities can help address their pain points and gaps if not already available with standard solutions. You will initiate the requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, complete the workflow and documentation, as well as the functional design of the solution. Liaise with the stakeholders and technical team to translate needs into business solutions and complete the configurations, customizations and/or integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of related work experience in a functional capacity with exposure to the SAP Production Planning (PP) module.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with SAP ERP and/or SAP S/4 HANA systems, specifically within the SAP manufacturing domain.
- Experience with configuration, master data and end to end understanding of the SAP PP module.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills as well as experience with delivering work products including but not limited to business process design documents and functional specification documents.
- Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
- A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Prior consulting industry experience or deep functional experience in the manufacturing space.
- Experience with SAP external integrations to MES, MII, ME, DMC, etc.
- SAP certifications in SAP Manufacturing, Quality Management (QM) or related modules in the production execution space.
- Experience with at least one full cycle implementation of SAP PP or QM.
