At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.
We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.
Despite the best efforts of compliance, legal, risk, security and information technology departments, organizations in crisis face uncertainty when disruption occurs. Clients call upon EY to deploy multidisciplinary teams of former law enforcement officers, forensic accountants, compliance professionals and technology specialists to coordinate response activities and timelines, collect critical information and business intelligence, investigate suspicious activity, summarize procedures and outcomes, and streamline communications and reporting during critical business events.
The opportunity
EY’s Forensic & Integrity Services practice advises corporations and government clients on complex matters requiring crisis management, fact-based and digital investigations, insider threat services, crisis and incident preparedness, and threat intelligence. As Senior Manager, PMO & Engagement Management, you will play a key role in the growth and operation of the Crisis & Investigations solution by leading the engagement management capability supporting cyber breach, crisis response and remediation services. You will direct multidisciplinary teams, coordinate senior stakeholders and establish repeatable governance, mobilization, reporting, escalation and resource-management processes across multiple client matters. You will work across industries and with clients’ legal counsel, internal audit, compliance, risk, security, communications, insurance and executive stakeholders to provide clear decision support and consistent, scalable service delivery.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, mobilization, execution, quality and continuous improvement of the PMO and engagement management service across a portfolio of complex cyber breach, crisis response and remediation matters.
- Establish standardized intake, governance, reporting, escalation, decision-tracking and closeout processes that support repeatable delivery across clients.
- Serve as the central coordination point among forensic and technical response teams, client executives, legal counsel, communications professionals, cyber insurers and other stakeholders.
- Direct multidisciplinary and leveraged delivery teams, coordinate resources and workloads, and maintain accountability across concurrent matters and workstreams.
- Create consistent visibility through executive updates, service dashboards, milestone tracking, and risk, assumption, issue and dependency management.
- Translate rapidly developing technical, operational and business information into concise, decision-useful communications.
- Monitor service performance, responsiveness, quality and alignment with client objectives and EY quality and risk management requirements.
- Develop configurable playbooks, workflows, templates, reporting standards and knowledge assets that promote scalability and consistent outcomes.
- Use data, AI, workflow tools and advanced technology appropriately to improve service visibility, coordination and operational control.
- Support breach preparedness, readiness assessments, exercises, retainers and other recurring Crisis & Investigations Managed Services offerings.
- Develop trusted client relationships and contribute to proposals, market activity and business development.
- Lead, coach and develop team members and promote collaboration across EY’s global multidisciplinary network.
Skills and attributes for success
- Manage a portfolio of cyber breach, crisis response and engagement management services, including strategy, mobilization, governance, execution and continuous improvement.
- Apply Managed Services principles, including operational responsibility, repeatable delivery, service performance, scalable operating models and knowledge management.
- Bring structure and delivery discipline to ambiguous, rapidly evolving situations while maintaining composure and sound judgment.
- Communicate credibly with senior stakeholders and translate complex information into practical decisions and actions.
- Develop long-term relationships across existing and potential clients to strengthen delivery and maximize business development opportunities.
- Develop configurable service components and institutionalize effective practices rather than depend on individual knowledge or informal processes.
- Develop team members through ongoing coaching, feedback and challenging assignments.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, International Relations, Public Policy or a related field.
- Significant experience leading large, complex programs, investigations, crisis-response activities, cyber-related engagements or multidisciplinary initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience designing and operating governance, reporting, escalation and resource-management processes across multiple engagements or service workstreams.
- Experience leading teams and managing delivery expectations, service performance, quality and risk.
- 8+ years of significant, related work experience.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the confidence to communicate complex concepts to a wide range of audiences.
- At least one relevant professional designation or certification, or the commitment to obtain an approved certification within the first year of employment.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
- Access to reliable transportation to and from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended because ride-share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Master’s degree.
- Relevant crisis management, cyber incident response, digital forensics, breach remediation or investigations leadership experience at the senior level.
- Experience with service transition, service mobilization, operating-model design, service performance management or continuous improvement.
- Experience working with cybersecurity organizations, law enforcement, government agencies, legal counsel, insurers or other cyber-ecosystem participants.

Successful candidates combine strong program and stakeholder-management capabilities with sound judgment, executive presence and an understanding of the managed services delivery model.
