AEM Guides Senior Developer
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Guides development, implementation, and customization.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled AEM Guides Senior Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing AEM Guides solutions to enable efficient structured content management and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement AEM Guides solutions to support structured content workflows.
- Develop and customize AEM Guides templates, components, and workflows for managing XML/DITA-based content.
- Extend AEM Guides functionalities by developing custom plugins, connectors, and APIs.
- Enhance structured content authoring and publishing for improved content reuse and efficiency.
- Integrate AEM Guides with third-party systems such as CCMS, databases, and APIs.
- Optimize AEM Guides performance to ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability.
- Follow best coding practices and maintain high-quality development through code reviews.
- Collaborate with business analysts, UX/UI designers, and developers to align solutions with business needs.
- Work closely with technical writers and content strategists to optimize structured content workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AEM Guides implementations.
- Stay updated with the latest AEM Guides features, tools, and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on AEM Guides best practices.
- Work in an Agile Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AEM development, with a strong focus on AEM Guides.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AEM Guides, DITA, XML-based content management, and DITA Map structures.
- Expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites, Assets, and Workflow Customization.
- Strong knowledge of JCR (Java Content Repository), Sling Models, OSGi, and Sightly/HTL.
- Proficiency in XSLT, XQuery, and XProc for XML transformations, structured content processing, and publishing.
- Strong knowledge of DITA topics, topic-based authoring, and dynamic baselines for content versioning and management.
- Hands-on experience with DITA Open Toolkit (DITA-OT) for transforming and publishing structured content.
- Experience integrating AEM Guides with external CCMS, publishing systems, and enterprise content workflows.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and web services for seamless system integrations.
- Strong grasp of technical writing standards, metadata management, and structured content best practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps workflows for deployment automation.
- Proven ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize AEM Guides implementations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
