Job Title: Copilot Studio Architect 

Job Description 

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Copilot Studio Architect to design and govern enterprise-wide conversational AI solutions. This role is responsible for defining the technical  architecture, best practices, security, and integration strategy for all Copilot Studio  deployments across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the  Microsoft AI stack—including Azure, the Bot Framework, and Copilot Studio—with mandatory  experience in Observability, Evaluation, and Reporting, as well as the design and  implementation of Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers and complex integrations with  Dynamics 365 Contact Center. 

Key Responsibilities 

 
Architecture & Strategy 

• Lead the architectural design and governance of all conversational AI solutions built on Microsoft Copilot Studio and the Power Platform. 
• Define the design patterns, security standards, and architectural blueprints for complex backend integrations using Power Automate and Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions,  API Management) to connect copilots to internal and external systems. 
• Define and govern the NLU methodology and conversational design standards for topic  creation, entity management, and user experience across the enterprise. 
• Manage and govern the entire ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) strategy for copilot solutions, utilizing tools like GitHub or Azure DevOps for source control and  CI/CD pipelines. 

Advanced AI & Custom Integration 

• Design and implement Agentic AI workflows, including multi-agent orchestration and reasoning/decision engines, to handle complex, multi-step business processes autonomously. 
• Design and govern the integration of Copilot Studio solutions with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center, ensuring seamless handover, context transfer, and agent scripting enrichment. 
• Drive the integration of specialized AI Foundry agents and models into the Copilot Studio orchestration layer for unique capabilities. 
• Design, develop, and host custom-coded services using the Microsoft Bot Framework (SDK v4) to create complex agents and middleware that extend Copilot Studio  functionality. 
• Lead the design, development, and hosting strategy for custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers to enable secure, standardized access to enterprise tools and data. 

Governance, Observability & Reporting 

• Ensure all AI solutions comply with Responsible AI principles, including data privacy, bias mitigation, and content filtering, utilizing tools like Microsoft Purview and other  governance mechanisms.
• Design and implement robust Observability solutions and Evaluation frameworks to monitor performance, analyze conversation transcripts, and ensure business value  realization. 
• Define and implement Evaluation frameworks for conversational quality, including  metrics for NLU success rate, user satisfaction, and business-specific goal completion rate. 
• Establish comprehensive Reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to track key  performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights for continuous copilot  improvement. 

Required Skills & Experience 

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software architecture, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in conversational AI and enterprise bot development. 
• Expert-level Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Copilot Studio (Power Virtual Agents)and its integration capabilities within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. 
• Hands-on experience integrating custom AI models/services (AI Foundry agents) to extend Copilot Studio capabilities. 
• Deep expertise in integrating Copilot Studio / Microsoft Foundry Agents with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center and related Omnichannel services. 
• Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft Bot Framework and custom bot development using C#, Python, or TypeScript. 
• Deep hands-on experience with Python for backend services, custom agent development, and building MCP Servers for secure tool integration. 
• Deep hands-on experience with Generative AI (GenAI) features within Copilot Studio, including advanced prompt engineering, grounding with enterprise data (via Azure AI Search/Microsoft Graph), and managing response quality. 
• Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure, including security, networking, data services, and services like Azure Bot Service, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search, and Application Insights. 
• Proven ability to manage application lifecycle using ALM tools (e.g., solution management in Power Platform, Azure DevOps/GitHub). 
• Strong understanding and application of AI Governance, including data retention policies, security controls, and adherence to Microsoft's Responsible AI standards. 
• (Preferred) Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect and PowerPlatform Solution Architect.
• Work closely with Business Analysts and Stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into strategic technical designs and scalable conversational flows.
