Integration Architect – 15+ Years Experience
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Integration Architect with 15+ years of IT experience to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions. The candidate should be hands-on with IBM ACE, have exposure to IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I), and be capable of acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, resilient enterprise integration solutions using IBM ACE and related integration technologies.
- Be hands-on in designing and developing IBM ACE applications, including complex integration flows, APIs, messaging, transformations, and error-handling frameworks.
- Provide architecture leadership across integration, API management, messaging, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
- Define integration standards, design patterns, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams and ensure adherence to architecture and engineering standards.
- Lead technical discussions with clients and act as a trusted technical advisor, understanding business needs and translating them into practical technology solutions.
- Participate in solutioning, estimations, technical proposals, architecture reviews, and client presentations.
- Drive delivery excellence by identifying technical risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand requirements and translate business requirements into technical integration solutions.
- Understand and contribute to key BA and delivery activities, including requirements analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, planning, estimation, and stakeholder management.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the complete SDLC—from requirements and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Required Technical Skills
- 15+ years of overall IT experience, with significant experience in enterprise integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
- Experience in designing and developing IBM ACE applications.
- Exposure to IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) and containerized integration platforms.
- Strong understanding of API-led, service-oriented, event-driven, and microservices architectures.
- Good understanding of Kafka / event streaming and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Working knowledge/exposure to Java and ability to understand Java-based integration components.
- Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, APIs, messaging, MQ, JSON, XML, and data transformation.
- Understanding of integration security concepts including OAuth, JWT, TLS/SSL, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, logging, and production support is highly desirable.

- Comfortable working across architecture, delivery, BA, and business stakeholder responsibilities.

- Ability to evaluate technology choices, perform trade-off analysis, and recommend pragmatic solutions.
- Strong understanding of non-functional requirements such as scalability, availability, performance, security, resiliency, and maintainability.
- Experience in modernization, migration, and transformation programs is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in distributed/global teams and manage multiple priorities.
