Adobe Commerce Architect
Experience:
- Min 8 years of experience with Adobe Commerce application design & development
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect enterprise-grade Adobe Commerce solutions, covering backend services, integrations, data flows, and cloud environments.
- Define multi tenant, multi store, and modular architecture approaches for complex commerce ecosystems
- Ensure solutions adhere to performance, scalability, reliability, and security standards
- Lead and mentor development teams on Adobe Commerce architecture, best practices, and coding standards
- Oversee design and development of custom modules, plugins, observers, and service contracts
- Conduct architectural and code reviews to ensure technical excellence
- Initiate and drive proof of concepts (PoCs) and early risk assessments for high complexity projects
- Architect integrations between Adobe Commerce and enterprise systems such as ERP, OMS, PIM, CRM, payment gateways, MuleSoft, and other middleware
- Define and oversee implementation of REST and GraphQL APIs for application interoperability
- Provide architectural solutions for asynchronous communications using message queues
- Ensure robust data synchronization, caching strategies, and integration patterns
- Architect and optimize Adobe Commerce Cloud environments, including CI/CD pipelines, container configurations, and environment orchestration
- Work with DevOps teams to design deployment pipelines and release processes
- Ensure environment scalability, disaster recovery readiness, and performance optimization
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to business teams, product owners, and clients
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical designs and architectural plans
- Participate in pre sales activities, solutioning, effort estimation
- Present architectural options, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Evaluate Adobe Commerce capabilities, cloud features, and emerging technologies for inclusion in the technology roadmap
- Recommend accelerators, reusable components, design frameworks, and integration strategies
- Drive continuous improvement and modernization of the commerce technology stack
Knowledge and Skill:
- Strong hands on experience designing and developing solutions on Adobe Commerce (Magento 2)
- Deep understanding of:
- Adobe Commerce architecture (modules, plugins, observers, service contracts)
- PHP, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
- GraphQL & REST API development
- Caching, indexing, asynchronous queueing, and performance optimization
- Git, Node.js, Composer
- Experience designing multi tenant, multi store, and distributed commerce architectures
- Hands on experience integrating Adobe Commerce with:
- ERP (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, etc.)
- OMS / WMS
- PIM systems
- Payment gateways
- MuleSoft and other middleware platforms
- Strong understanding of API lifecycle management and microservices based integrations
- Experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud, or equivalent cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of application security, PCI DSS considerations, and identity management.
- Familiarity with WebSEAL IDP and Adobe IMS integration.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to guide cross functional teams
