The opportunity

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior to support the delivery of analytics and AI-enabled innovation initiatives that enhance Forensics offerings and drive measurable business value. The role translates business requirements into scalable, high-quality data, analytics, AI, and automation solutions while maintaining strong quality, cybersecurity, privacy, Responsible AI, and risk management standards. The individual contributes to the full solution lifecycle, including data preparation, model development, testing, deployment, operationalization, and ongoing support, helping to build reliable, reusable, and cloud-enabled solutions that can scale across engagements. The role also promotes modern engineering practices, including secure development, DevOps, and CI/CD approaches, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data, AI, and software engineering capabilities into client and internal solutions. Additionally, the individual supports solution adoption, identifies opportunities to improve processes and efficiency, and helps deliver meaningful business outcomes through innovative, technology-enabled solutions.

 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Gathers, stores, cleanses, and enriches large amounts of data from different structured and unstructured data sources
  • Uses advanced analytical algorithms to mine and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data to obtain insights
  • Designs and constructs new processes for modeling data
  • Develops predictive models and leverages big data technology to design solutions that deliver value to the business
  • Monitors, evaluates, and optimizes learning processes to continuously improve high-performance models
  • Works with other data and analytics professionals and teams to optimize, refine and industrialize analysis into an analytics solution
  • Supervise low level staff and provide directions and control regarding their activities
  • Responsible for contributing to the delivery of one or more processes, solutions and/or projects by delivering agreed activities, applying judgement, and selecting appropriate methodologies to inform recommendations, considerate of success criteria, barriers, risks, and issues.
  • Accountable for meeting own targets which impact the immediate team.
  • Coordinate the work of junior colleagues or team members.
  • Meets performance objectives and metrics set locally (client service, quality and risk management, solution development and teaming etc.)
  • Supervise low level staff and provide directions and control regarding their activities
  • Supervises Seniors and Staff supporting innovation initiatives and solution development efforts
  • Responsible for assigning work, setting priorities, and ensuring timely progress on innovation projects
  • Provides coaching and guidance focused on analytical thinking, technical development, and innovation best practices
  • Reviews work to ensure quality, rigor, and alignment with innovation objectives and firm standards
  • Coordinates with cross‑functional teams to align resources and expectations
  • Serves as a primary escalation point for issues related to scope, feasibility, or execution of innovation initiatives
  • Contributes to performance feedback and development planning for team members

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Exercise judgement and discretion in providing supervision to low rank staff members
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering, solution architecture, cloud platform, data analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, and technology enabled service delivery relevant to firm services
  • Experience applying AI and machine learning (e.g., natural language processing, pattern matching, anomaly detection, generative AI, agent-based systems, and automation technologies) to solve practical business and operational problems
  • Ability to design, prototype, implement, test and scale AI‑enabled solutions, applications, or workflows that improve efficiency, quality, and insight generation
  • Strong understanding of data quality, model limitations, and risks associated with AI‑enabled solutions
  • Experience collaborating with delivery, product owners, and sales teams to ensure AI solutions can be operationalized and adopted
  • Strong analytical problem‑solving skills and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving environments
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the confidence to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience in web development, platform architecture, data engineering and data-model configuration, data ingestion and storage design, as well as RBAC and security.
  • Ability to support AI agent development, including prompt engineering, RAG optimization, structured data retrieval (including the use of Microsoft Fabric Data Agent and semantic models), and identifying the optimal tools to use within Microsoft and Azure’s suite of applications, primarily Microsoft Foundry.

 

 

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, statistics or computational linguistics
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to translate technical and AI concepts into clear, practical use cases for non‑technical stakeholders
  • Experience evaluating emerging software development and AI technologies, tools, and vendors for feasibility, scalability, and alignment with firm strategy
  • Possess at least one professional designation or actively working towards, such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), CFE, or CFCE 
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work additional hours when necessary to support client needs.
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $74,300 to $136,200.  The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $89,200 to $154,800.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
