With high-profile corporate fraud cases at the forefront of the news, it’s more important than ever for businesses to maintain the authoritative knowledge it takes to investigate and prevent fraud. Preventing and detecting fraud is all about identifying potential risks – using existing trends and emerging technology to accelerate intelligent decision making and build more efficient finance functions. Our clients look to us to make it happen, and as a Forensic Data Analytics Senior, you’ll be right at the heart of that goal. It’s a role with far-reaching implications, so you’ll be working with stakeholders across industries with some of the most innovative tools available.  


The opportunity   With significant recent investment, we’re experiencing rapid growth in this area. Our Forensic Data Analytics team is working with industry- leading anti-fraud and forensic data analytics technologies to develop innovative recommendations to some of the most challenging fraud and risk issues around. Since we work with such a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, you can expect to take on a wide range of big data challenges, making this a great place to develop your technical and business knowledge.  


Your key responsibilities   It’s no exaggeration to say you’ll never be doing the same task for too long. You’re likely to balance your time between engagement planning with other Data Analytics team members and actively analyzing complex data. It’s all about using your technical skills to creatively assess and resolve our clients’ needs from the front lines. That means thinking differently about the role of data analytics in the support of litigation and fraud investigations, and speaking up with innovative ideas that challenge the status quo.

To qualify for the role you must have

- A bachelor’s degree and approximately 2 years of relevant work experience

- Achieved, or be working towards a professional designation, such as CISA, CISSP, CISM,CFE, CFCE or EnCE

- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

- A proven record of success in data analysis and data science, and an in-depth knowledge of SQL, PERL, and other leading database technologies, statistical analysis packages or programming languages Ideally, you’ll also have

- A working knowledge of Tableau, Spotfire and IBM tools, such as SPSS, SAS or SAP

- Knowledge of Hadoop-based technologies

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $88,300 to $145,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $106,000 to $165,600.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
