South Africa Ripples(CSR) Coordinator
Reporting to: Africa Ripples Manager
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Scope: National (South Africa)
Role purpose
The Ripples Coordinator is responsible for the efficient operational delivery of EY Africa’s Corporate Social Responsibility (Ripples) programmes. This role provides hands-on coordination and execution support to ensure that Ripples initiatives are delivered consistently, compliantly, and with impact across South Africa.
Based in Cape Town and operating as a national resource, the role holds central accountability for programme coordination, logistics, procurement, transport, platform management, and governance reporting for Ripples activities. The role works closely with the Africa Ripples Manager, Cape Town Talent Leader, Employee Experience and Africa Talent teams, OPCO stakeholders, and external partners to enable meaningful community impact and a strong employee volunteering experience.
Key responsibilities
Programme delivery and coordination
- Coordinate the end-to-end operational delivery of Ripples and NextGen initiatives across all regions.
- Support programme planning, mobilisation, delivery, and close-out, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Maintain up-to-date project plans, action trackers, risk logs, and delivery schedules.
- Provide on-the-ground coordination support for engagements, including weekend activations where required.
Ripples platform and data management
- Load, maintain, and quality-check all Ripples engagements on the EY Ripples platform, ensuring accurate and timely capture of activities, beneficiaries, hours, and outcomes.
- Perform regular data reconciliation to ensure confidence in Ripples reporting and dashboards.
- Support governance and reporting requirements, including Bridges submissions and OpCo inputs.
National logistics, procurement, and transport
- Act as the national coordinator for Ripples procurement, including vendor sourcing, onboarding, and management in line with EY policies.
- Manage Mercury procurement, vendor loading, purchase orders, and payment processes.
- Coordinate transport and logistics for Ripples and NextGen activities, including learner transport, venues, catering, and materials.
- Ensure all logistical arrangements are safe, cost-effective, compliant, and delivery-ready.
Stakeholder and partner coordination
- Coordinate engagement with internal teams (Finance, Risk, Talent, BMC) and external partners to support programme delivery.
- Schedule and support working sessions and delivery meetings; track and follow up on actions and dependencies.
- Build effective relationships with NGOs, schools, service providers, and community partners.
Financial and operational governance
- Track spend against approved Ripples budgets and support financial reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audit, governance, and risk purposes including BRIDGES.
- Ensure adherence to EY policies, controls, and operational standards.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- 2–4 years’ relevant experience in project coordination, operations, logistics, CSR, employee experience, or a related field.
- Experience supporting procurement, vendors, logistics, or event delivery.
- Comfort working with platforms, data capture, and reporting processes.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, manage ambiguity, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Willingness and flexibility to work Saturdays as required for NextGen and Ripples activities.

Working arrangements
- Full-time role (40 hours per week) with a hybrid working model.
- Saturday work will be required for Ripples and NextGen engagements.
- Time off during the week will be agreed in advance with the Africa Ripples Manager and Cape Town Talent Leader.
