Are you looking for a new challenge?  We are looking for someone at a Senior Manager level (8 years or more experience in Internal Audit/Risk Management/Compliance) who is keen to lead a team conducting assurance engagements at a large Federal Government Agency.

The opportunity

 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager within the Consulting, Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit team in our Canberra office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

•    You will oversee a portfolio of client engagements and manage Enterprise Risk professionals in the delivery of assurance engagements.
•    You will be responsible for the development of junior Enterprise Risk staff through ‘on-the-job’ training and facilitation of relevant training programs.
•    Leading and guiding the team and client to create and deliver assurance plans for accomplishing engagement objectives and strategies which comply with professional standards.
•    Nurturing client relationships to achieve service expectations, deliverables and outcomes.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Practical and solution oriented approach to identify technical developments, and evaluate and advise impacts
  • High level communication and engagement skills, including exceptional report writing abilities
  • Inspiring leadership capability with the motivation to develop others, build high performing teams and effectively delegate with appropriate levels of support
  • Excellent project management skills including ability to lead fieldwork

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Australian citizenship (required)
  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree qualification in finance, business, accounting or related discipline
  • Professional accreditations and qualifications will also be considered favourably (CPA, CISA, CA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP)
  • Worked for a minimum of 8 years either in professional services or a combination of industry and professional services delivering internal audits to your stakeholders.
