ServiceNow Technical Consultant
The opportunity
As our ServiceNow Technical Consultant, you’ll deliver innovative solutions involving ServiceNow and working with clients to understand their business needs, configuring, and enhancing the ServiceNow platform to provide practical solutions.
This role is based in Canberra – Ngambri.
Your key responsibilities
- Defining, designing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions and ensuring they are aligned with business requirements.
- Working closely with clients to build ServiceNow-based business solutions that address their needs.
- Configuring and enhancing ServiceNow platform using scripts and application capabilities.
- Providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective solutions and procedures that meet user requirements.
- Providing support and troubleshooting for the ServiceNow platform, with an emphasis on user satisfaction, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Creating and maintaining system design and end user documentation for all applications in the ServiceNow platform.
- Participating in all technical aspects of the ServiceNow program and solution delivery.
- Perform system and integration testing, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Ensuring that all implementation work is carried out in accordance with the company policies and industry best practices.
- Effective upwards management to program lead and executives
- Contribute to business development activities including written proposals, presales activities, functional demonstrations and presentations
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience with ServiceNow platform with at least one or more ServiceNow CIS certifications - preferably in SPM, HRSD, CSM, IRM or SecOp.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow implementation, configuration, development, customization, and integration.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow core platform capabilities and data model.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
- ServiceNow System Administration certification or other ServiceNow certifications are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals and build successful relationships at all levels.
- Strong project delivery experience including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively explain possible solutions to non-technical and technical stakeholders.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities beyond core modules.
- Experience with ServiceNow Protected Platform desirable.
Please note as this role supports our federal government clients. A minimum of baseline security clearance is required, with preference for NV1 or higher.
