Manager - Risk Transformation - Risk Consulting
The opportunity
EY is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for quality assurance specialists in the English as an Additional Language (EAL) Framework and/or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) sector. In this role, you would support EY in developing a quality assurance framework over an English teaching program delivered by VET-accredited providers across Australia and conducting associated quality assurance activities.
This is a hybrid role based in Canberra – Ngambri.
Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Support the development of a quality assurance framework for an English teaching program.
- Observe, assess and evaluate, English teaching practices, learner engagement and assess alignment to the EAL Framework
- Support the delivery of quality assurance activities undertaken over VET-accredited providers.
- Participate in internal moderation activities to ensure consistency of assessment outcomes.
- Provide TESOL expertise as required throughout quality assurance program delivery.
Skills and attributes for success
- Demonstrated understanding of the EAL Framework curriculum.
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking quality assurance, audit, or evaluation activities for education programs.
- Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and vulnerable learners.
- Broad understanding of, and experience working within, the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Formal qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Diploma of Quality Auditing

- Salary: We offer a competitive salary which is open to negotiation pending on skills and experience.
