SAP HCM Consultant

 

The opportunity

 

As our SAP HCM Consultant, you’ll be a highly skilled Senior HCM Functional Support Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide expert support for SAP HR, ensuring the smooth operation of Human Capital Management (HCM) processes. This role involves responding to incidents, resolving issues, implementing configuration changes, and monitoring HR workflows. The consultant will also support payroll applications and workforce planning tasks.

 

This role can be performed from any of the following EY offices, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra & Brisbane. With an expectation of frequent travel to Canberra. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Provide HCM functional support for SAP HR, addressing incidents and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement configuration changes as needed to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Monitor HR workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Support payroll applications, including running payroll processes, managing master data queries, and handling reporting queries.
  • Create and manage wage types in the SAP HR system.
  • Assist in workforce planning support tasks, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
  • Train staff on the SAP HR system and its functionalities, providing guidance and support as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of HR processes.
  • Stay updated on SAP HR best practices and trends to continuously improve support services.

 

What we look for     

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HCM functional support, specifically with SAP HR.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, HR workflows, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to incidents effectively.
  • Experience in configuring SAP HR modules and managing wage types.
  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Australian citizenship, which enable the ability to obtain baseline security clearnace to work with our clients.

 

Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn. 

 

  • SAP HR certification or relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience in a similar role within a large organization.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and regulatory requirements.
