What's in it for you?
As an Account Director within our Government Business Development team you will focus on developing new relationships and managing a portfolio of major Federal Government Departments and Agencies. You'll work with the Canberra and National leadership teams to execute the sales strategy, whilst also working with all EY service lines to encourage a 'one firm' attitude, capability and culture.
The key to your success will be your ability to identify, qualify, pursue and resolve any concerns to close sales opportunities. If we were to look into the now, next and beyond horizon, you’ll be encouraged to work in the next and beyond to create opportunities for EY and you will take ownership of the execution of the overall sales strategy.
You'll have extensive business development experience and a strong understanding of Federal Government. You'll be tertiary qualified with exceptional influencing skills and the ability to mentor, inspire and lead others.
This role is offered on a full-time basis and will be based in Canberra.
Your key responsibilities

Growth of the nominated accounts in the Federal Government territory and growth of the overall Canberra Government territory

Creating, developing and owning of key relationships that will drive EY’s growth in Federal Government

A deep understanding of the operations of government

Excellent relationships and networks across the Federal and ACT governments

Experience in building and managing a portfolio of Executive-level government relationships

A keen appreciation of the diversity of public services that are delivered by the Federal government and its agencies

Enthusiasm and experience in growing a significant book of business

The ability to deeply understand what our Federal government clients want from EY by listening and acting with sensitivity and empathy.

A coaching and mentoring mindset.The ability to bring the EY team with you on the journey to client success will ensure not only your success but the success of the EY teams from the service lines.
