As part of our Technology Consulting practice, you will help leading banks and financial institutions navigate complex technology transformation journeys and accelerate digital innovation. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager / Director - Banking Technology Transformation to lead large-scale transformation programs spanning core banking modernization, digital banking, enterprise architecture, technology strategy, and business-driven technology change initiatives.

You will work closely with executive leadership teams, business stakeholders, technology leaders, and regulatory bodies to define strategic transformation agendas and deliver sustainable business outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to lead some of the region's most significant banking transformation programs while leveraging EY's global Financial Services network, methodologies, and industry-leading capabilities.

Your Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Transformation Advisory

• Advise banking executives on technology strategy, digital transformation, operating model optimization, and technology modernization initiatives.
• Define target-state business and technology architectures aligned with organizational objectives and growth strategies.
• Support major technology investment decisions, platform selection processes, vendor evaluations, and transformation roadmaps.
• Conduct enterprise-wide banking transformation assessments covering people, processes, governance, technology, data, and risk.
• Develop business cases and strategic recommendations to support large-scale transformation programs.

Core Banking Transformation

• Lead end-to-end core banking transformation and modernization programs.
• Support implementation, migration, upgrade, and optimization initiatives for leading core banking platforms.
• Drive alignment between business objectives and technology delivery throughout transformation programs.
• Define migration, testing, deployment, cutover, and production readiness strategies.
• Oversee data migration, systems integration, and business transformation workstreams.
• Manage stakeholder engagement across business, technology, operations, and executive leadership teams.

Digital Banking & Innovation

• Lead digital banking transformation initiatives focused on customer experience, channel modernization, and digital platform enablement.
• Support clients in developing digital bank and neo-bank strategies.
• Advise on Open Banking, API ecosystems, embedded finance, and platform-led business models.
• Guide organizations on the adoption of emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automation, Cloud, Data & Analytics, and Intelligent Banking solutions.
• Define technology-enabled innovation roadmaps that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Program Delivery & Governance

• Lead complex transformation programs within multi-vendor and multi-stakeholder environments.
• Establish governance frameworks, PMO structures, executive reporting mechanisms, and steering committee forums.
• Manage program scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution activities.
• Oversee quality assurance, testing governance, implementation readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Ensure successful delivery of strategic outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.

Business Development & Market Leadership

• Support proposal development, solution design, client presentations, and business development activities.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities across banking and financial services clients.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to EY's Financial Services and Technology Consulting growth agenda across the MENA region.
• Support thought leadership initiatives and contribute to industry insights and market-facing activities.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop high-performing consulting teams.
• Foster collaboration across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Support talent development, performance management, and mentoring activities.

To Qualify for the Role You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 12+ years of experience for Senior Manager level and 15+ years of experience for Director level in technology consulting, banking technology, or digital transformation roles.
• Extensive experience delivering large-scale banking technology transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of banking processes, operating models, and technology landscapes.
• Experience working with core banking platforms, digital banking ecosystems, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Proven track record of managing senior stakeholders and executive-level engagements.
• Experience leading large transformation teams and complex program delivery environments.

Ideally, You'll Also Have

• Experience within a leading consulting firm or major financial institution.
• Knowledge of industry-leading core banking platforms such as Temenos, Finacle, T24, Oracle Banking, Mambu, or similar solutions.
• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and technology operating models.
• Exposure to cloud transformation, AI-enabled solutions, data modernization, and Open Banking initiatives.
• Relevant professional certifications such as TOGAF, PMP, SAFe, AWS, Azure, or similar.
